So I went out and probed down a Serpentis Ladar site out in Null sec today and attacked it with a Drake and Megathron. My Drake got pointed and was wrecked due to the neut towers but we pressed on after I reshipped into a Gila and completed the site.
Looting the site yielded some really questionable loot such as Pillaging 101 and 17 Different Ways to Torture and then finally, a Test Bong?
What is all of this? I wrecked a Drake for this stuff and I'm wondering what can it be used for. I got two skillbooks (Neurotoxin Control or some sort) which is self-explanatory but...what's the rest of this stuff?

its drug related paraphernalia as ladars are usually drug related sites. might be some pirate cosmos stuff, but I mostly think it is just fluff. and one of them drug skills goes (at least it did go) for a good bit

Ladar sites have gas clouds, you did remember to bring the gas miners right ?, since that is the main "reward" of those ones.

Not these Ladar sites. The gas clouds have already been mined and what's left are pirates.

booster reactions, booster blueprints, drug skills and implants are the real loot from those, the rest is just fluff |

The funky named stuff like Pillaging 101 is crap, used for nothing but giving some flavour loot incase of empty cans.
Neurotoxin recovery is worth around 30m or so, Nanite Control is worth 260-300m. The latter is the 'jackpot' loot of Ladar hacking sites, if that is what you really got.

I heard rumors of about Ladar sites having some sort of epic drop.
Sadly, mine dropped a pair of Neurotoxin Recovery books.

That's not bad at all. Had you properly fit your drake for the site and not lost it, you would've been up quite a bit.

I underestimated the neut towers and the sensor damps kept me from targeting the scrammer in time.
