I'm just about to vote and considering three candidates based on their platform. Please let me know if this assessments are correct, or any advice/information that might be useful to my voting:
Karland - Market agenda Trebor - All-around agenda, with some focus on MD/SI srsnetpolitician - no transactions, make Incarna useful
I agree with all three agenda's in their own way. Does anyone else having anything to add? By the way, I no longer see Karland on the list to vote, what happened?

I like Trebor. The previous CSM was a great CSM and if he gets chair again he screws up Mittani's take over CSM plan.
<3 Kal but a vote for him is a vote for the 0.0/NC takes over CSM block, which I can not support any less.

If Kalrand has been removed from the voting process, do I get to cast my votes again?
Because I absolutely can't stand Trebor.

Why'd you vote for Trebor if you can't stand him?

How could you possibly have read into my "I voted for Kalrand and want my votes to count" statement that I voted for Trebor?

I put 4 votes on Prometheus Exenthal and 4 on Elise Randolph.
I voted Prom because ship balance and small scale PvP need a champion on the CSM and he's the best man for the job. In my view it's one of the most important issues that the CSM could have an influence on.
I voted Elise out of loyalty to my alliance.
While neither are market focused candidates, I don't feel that any of the available candidates would be a suitable market champion. Even if there was a suitable candidate, I don't think the market needs much help from the CSM. Putting work into other areas of eve would have a more dramatic effect on the wellbeing of trade and industry as professions anyway.

Just wondering what the lack of Kalrand and your feelings towards Trebor have to do with each other

I'd considered Prom. But balance is done on a cyclic basis (Gal are next) and this is basically a design choice, I don't see the CSM being able to do anything about that.
As far as making solo and/or small scale PVP better I'm a strong believer in the HP buff being the starting point of its decline. At the moment I'm still looking for the next big thing, I was in on the ground floor for the Drake and much fun was had.
Bah, I need to go back and re-read them all again.

Gave 3 votes to Seleene's Iteration campaign.
As a former GM he really is best placed of all the candidates to get traction on a variety of issues.

Same, Seleene got my votes
No idea what happened to Kalrand, but he would not have got my vote regardless.
I just couldn't separate (rightly or wrongly) his campaign and agenda, from those above him in Goonswarm.

Someone has to do something about ship balance and CCP thus far has a very poor record in this very important area. I think they need help. If I have to choose only one man to put forward and help them, it's Prom. While I'll accept that he may have a hard time getting changes made, I think it's important for us to do what we can to improve this game in such a critical area.

I voted for Kalrand (and therefor not for Trebor). If Kalrand is out, then my votes don't potentially assist a candidate in getting ahead of Trebor (and thereby keeping Trebor out of the CSM).
In other words, a vote for one candidate is de facto a vote against all the other candidates, due to the rules.

OIC. Don't worry, I am pretty sure Trebor's gonna make it.
Where did he touch you anyway? from what Ive read and seen, he seems like a pretty okay guy, if one with a terrible portrait.

CSM is Council of Stellar Management. It is a publicity stunt/useful forum for guiding CCP's designs. The amount of power and influence of it are up to debate and interpretation.
The voting period for the people on it, is on at this time, you can find more information at www.eveonline.com as well as a link to vote.
The previous CSM (of which Trebor was chair) counts the removal of the learnings amongst their achievements (was it because of em? was it not? happened under them regardless!). So I'm supporting him, there is also currently a "secret" (although everyone knows about it) plan by Mittens of Goonswarm to fill the CSM with 0.0 denizens so that he may steer the CSM as he wishes, a lot of people, I included, think this is less than good.
Regardless, there are several candidates, and there may be one you like to vote for as your voice to CCP, and who gets to go to iceland and have a great time. Or don't vote, as I hear most don't :)
So it's some kind of cool nerds club?

The same question about Kalrand on the voting page has been posted in Jita Park. Nothing has been mentioned by CCP and Kalrand has been quiet as well.
Hopefully it is a bug, but on the safe side I would suggest looking at alternate candidates and also if someone who voted for Kalrand could check to see if they got their votes back or to log a petition about it and see if they get a response.

Verified I do not have my votes back.
And verifying that Trebor's platform is where he touched me on the doll, basically everything he says makes me cringe.

For as much of a market ***** as I am I put both my votes towards Prom. He's part of a very small group of elites that have an exceptionally high level of understanding of how ship balance works, and knows how to get the absolute most out of a ships. You could throw pretty much any ship choice at him and he could spit back the unseen consequences pretty fast.
It's one of the very very few places where the major consequences of an idea can be determined to a high degree of accuracy and 'right' and 'wrong' can be narrowed down. However, to do that you *have* to have someone who is a pro pilot. I consider myself a pretty solid pilot and I have no idea what the full consequences of reducing Dramiel locking ranges would be or adding a midslot to the Enyo or whatever.
Really we need a fighter ace in every CSM.

No idea. I am hearing 'lots' of UNSUBSTANTIATED rumours about what has happned (some of them rather wild and contradictory) but, I have heard nothing definite, nor seen proof one way or another. Jonathon Silence

Kalrand registered about 2 seconds before the deadline if I remember correctly. I find it much more likely that the visa paperwork went awry after the voting had already begun than some odd ****amamie Kalrand scheme.

Originally by: CCP Xhagen Kalrand requested to have his candidacy withdrawn after the election started and thus we removed him from the candidacy list. Any votes for him will have to stay with him, as (it has been explained above) we cannot link votes to voters. The voting system was specifically designed to leave no record of what user voted (only that the user has voted), even though it leads to being unable to fulfill requests like this one.
