Is it possible to allow non corp members access to a PoS via the standings setting?
If not is the easiest way to become an alliance with a corp to allow them access?
Cheers

I think your easiest method is to give them your password.

Depends on your definition of "access".
To enter the force field, all they need is the password, no being in the corp or alliance needed.
Being in the alliance allows access to be inside the force field, if the POS if configured to allow access. Access can also be granted for Alliance access to labs for ME and PE research that don't require materials. There is no way alliance members can access the contents of POS modules.
The only way they can access the contents of any of the POS modules is to be in your corporation and have the proper roles.

okay..
So, I create a PoS and I want another corp to be able to access the labs in my pos.
If I create an alliance with said corp then they will be able to use the labs to research any BPO's they have, both material and Time Eff.
Will they also be able to create copies?
Also will they be able to access the Corp hangers arrays and any other PoS module?
Again many thanks

No, they can't.

So they are not able to run any jobs that require materials or produce anything. This also requires them to run the ME or PE research from their corporation office at a station in system.

To clarify it a touch: They cannot directly access the lab to start a job -- ie, they can't run a BPO over to the POS to research, nor can they start "remote" research by accessing the lab directly (as you can if you're in the POS-owning corp).
They will need a station in the same system as the POS, and the Remote Research skill (name escapes me atm) to level 1 in order to install the job.
edit -- quote fail.
