Ok I got a new laptop,
My previous desktop runs eve fine and this laptop exceeds the requirements than my desktop so im expecting it to run nice, its windows vista over 2gb of ram.
I try loading up eve and it doesn't load past the splash screen? i still see it in processes of my task manager running aroudn 84k of mem but nothing else. I do have a log sever of what happened uploaded here: http://www.4shared.com/file/ki8BceS4/MASTER-PC20110323194929ERRORS.html
Now I have searched but it seems that nobody else more recently has had this problem. SO I created a new post. Now the things ive tried were the following.
Alt tabbing : No work
Runnning on a Different Combatability: Increases or Decreases the mem usage but overall no work nothing happens
Running On a Different screen resolution: Still no work
Clearing my Cache: No work
Reinstalling: NO work
Repair tool: Says everything is fine
I don't know why this is happening HELP!

Edited: WAIT Fixed I downloaded DirectX update and now working fine

Same problem here on Asus EeePC 1001px. Win XP home edition sp3
Ram is upgraded to 2 gb.
repair.exe tool say'd it's OK
I've copy the client from my desktop pc with win 7 pro bur I doubt that, this is the problem. To be sure will reinstall it again.
I think log files are more appropriate for a petition as ccp staff will check them for sure. After trying few thing myself i intend to start a petition about it and i advise you do the same.

I am currently having the same issue. I have read through the forums and have done the following:
-Update video drivers - check
-Update sound drivers - check
-Update Direct X - check
-Delete all & Download and install fresh copy of EVE - check - My IP provider is getting happy about the usage charges I'm going to have to pay this month.
-Run repair tool - check
-Run report tool - check
-Open petition - check
-Attach report in petition - check
WAIT FOR A REPLY from CCP!!! - check, double check and triple check.
It would be nice to at least get some kind of response, anything would be nice at this stage. I have 3 accounts and I can't do anything. So... Heads up CCP, I reloaded WOW - LMAO maybe they will want my money?

In a post I found to download from here and did so. All of a sudden the problem is corrected!!! YAY
