I see sooooo many flaming after Greyscales post about trusec anom spawns.
and so many people are raging about it.
Do people rat that much? really?
Why don't these people see this as a chance to see more 0.0 drama? Big coalitions getting fed up by ****ty space and invading former-coalition allies, would make 0.0 a lot more interesting.

There are people who've blued everybody around them, so they can't move to find better space. When their space dies, they'll have to either HTFU and make less isk, or grow a pair and fight for some better space.
There's no such thing as overkill, only degrees of effectiveness. |

Or join a bigger alliance or leave 0.0 entirely.

Yes. That's how they keep their personal wallets happy.
Quote: Why don't these people see this as a chance to see more 0.0 drama?
Because, again, it's how they keep their personal wallets happy ù it's not a driver of drama (alliance-vs-alliance interaction). It will only drive people to go to highsec. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Just as a tip.
Alliances don't invade others space to get better ratting systems.

This was mentioned again and again, but some people apparently cant grasp it.
I am just a grunt, so dont take it as anything more than that. Also I am here ignoring the entire BFF factor. I am in an NC guest alliance with what is going to be horrible space. Now according to OP we would go reset NC and fight with something like 2k vs 50k. How good of an idea does that look to you to get better space? We can also ask main NC members for better space, they might give some of it, or might not, who knows. Or finally, we can invade some smaller block, outblob them, take their space, 50k vs 20k are definately better odds than 2k vs 50k. And what do they do? They dont want that, so call in help from the other block, the DRF.
Tada: larger NAP fests. It is always the same: everything CCP does to 'promote conflict' ends up in players defending themselves against it by forming larger NAPs. It is all nice and fun you get more reason to shoot someone else, but 349,999 people also get more reasons to shoot you.

RattingAnomalies is principally done for 2 reasons.
1. For an individual to afford the ships he likes in pvp. Thus less income generation means more time replacing his ships, means less time to engage in conflicts.
2. For a corporation/alliance to pay rent to a larger entity. Less income generation means it will be much harder to pay the required rents, which will not lead to rebellions but larger entity crushing smaller ones. The larger alliances had adjusted rents in recent months (primarily to higher amounts) hopefully if this comes out they'll readjust them lower to keep their renters able to both pay rent and help defend.

I say causing turbulence in 0.0 will be interesting, in the fact that the smaller average Joe corps/alliances may end up adapting and maybe making something... you know... fun?

Changes will ... ...also make it harder to make isk. In short term profile this may not be a big problem as wallets are thick. But in long term observation this will result in more careful acting with large ships as the wallets to replace them will become smaller as the overall income/time is less.
Renting space will change due to security lvl below 0.0 thus large alliances will have a hard time occupying a large complex of space. This again will result in occupying only worthy system which again are hard to keep due to very inconvenient placing within space (easy attacking targets, hard to defend etcetc).
All in all the changes will do what Greyscale said in his wall of text.
Those crying most now will be those loosing most convenient life style.

I find that folks in general, whether it be the real world or Eve, do not take a loss in profit margin very well. I remember some similar rage about PI back when it was revamped in Incursion.

No, not atm because with upgrades every ( previuosly ****ty ) system can be equal ( and generates tons of ISK out of thin air ) but when this goes live we are nearly back in 2006 when Alliance where camping the plexes from downtime on. Good times btw. Magic 8-Ball also see the renting market collapsing
But I¦m sure your BFF in Deklein will all be happy when it fills up with 50k blues who want some of the cake ( big rats )

Yes. We'll be back in 2009. Alliances didn't invade each other over ratting systems back then either.
The conflicts were about other things ù if you accidentally gained good ratting space as well, that was just a bonus. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

It may interest you to know that people don't actually rat in 0.0 for any reason other than to afford PVP ships and gear (because what else would you use the isk for?)
More time spent ratting = less time PVPing or Less value in 0.0 = more likely to move to empire for PVP = fewer people living in 0.0 = less time PVPing ________________

I can't begin to count the amount of times I'd go "Grab some HACs, lets roam" and alliance goes "FU mah sanctums". We even had large groups of reds less than 5j away too (who were also LOLOLOLOL sanctum).
Yes, ratting is the main motivation people are out there. Don't let them fool you

This and similar messages that currently there are no conflicts going on kinda puzzle me. Are they made by people who never seen 0.0 from within 10 jumps or something?
At the moment the only block not at really at war is the deklein coalition. Since they just evicted IT I think they deserve some alone time with rats. We got the AAA block that is at war with PL, Evoke and NC. are at war with the NC, and DRF and NC are also in heavy fighting (you know something like 50 super caps lost last week?)

considering the group of reds is just going to dock/pos up there isn't any reason to go roam, and you guys aren't going to sit there long enough to **** them off enough to come out and fight.

574m in losses in march.. that had to be hell of a sanctums grind to afford..
I love this "we need isk for pvp" argument..

CCP's mind
ok we buffed super caps to make more epic battles.
Result - holy crap how many motherships were destroyed in this one system? 50? @%@#%#@ and how many titans in the past 2 weeks? 35? Ok where are these guys getting all this isk.
*reserach*
Ok people running sanctums 24/7 ok nerf spawns. But notice it is only the NC whining? did you notice no one in the south is complaining?
Besides 2 weeks ago CCP said they were working on more signature sites which will fit the tiered 0.0 system, so they will still get other stuffs just wont be the perpetual x type loot.

I'm pretty sure that CCP knows about moon mining. You know, the thing that actually funds alliances and starts wars.
