Low sec is usually populated enough that you can't just watch pilots in space to know when you're going to brush up against someone else. Also, its a helluva lot more dangerous tanking a sentry gun while you fight your opponent than tanking... nothing. Its a definate handicap when you're fighting an opponent of equal power. Lastly, anyone who fights in low-sec is willing to take a sec hit, which is more than you can say for anyone hunting in 0.0. 2) Many of us fly ships like the Crow which do not have a drone bay. Thus, you can't just toss out a drone and see if your flag is gone. It would really be handy for us to be able to determine exactly when the flag has ended so that we can move on to a station or a gate. Gotta love people who make ignorant posts in an attempt to bolster their ego.

If you can kill another battleship 1 on 1 while the sentries shoot at you, kudos, you've managed to beat the enemy while handicapped. Doing the same thing when ganking a smaller ship is another story however.

I don't think it's possible though, at least not until they fix the bug that makes the sentries shoot you in some systems and not in other systems (a bug that appears sometimes after the flag should have worn off according to the timer) - the game wouldn't know where to get the info regarding whether you're flagged or not, and thus this is impossible to implement.

We shot down a raven pirate at a planet and I, not being used to empire warfare for a long time , automatically podded him (with the big penalty that follows!). I was wondering if you still get a security hit, or anything, if you kill the escape pod of a person that is -5.01? I know you can destroy thier ship, but your post leads me to believe that we can not touch the pod. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post.
