If this harassment is getting to you outside of the game. I would recommend contacting local authorities. And if it is indeed so problematic, and CCP are being tards about it. By all means leave.
This is a game, if something about it affects your real life adversely, its best to quit it.
I should probably quit it this being my last semester at college.. BUT I can't :(

Jeez, at least give us the griefers name, so we can go pound him/her into the nearest roid. 
And yeah, giving up is never the answer. What's stopping this ******* from going on and harrasing another player after you've left? If CCP won't do anything, tell the EVE community about it - there are a lot of players who would be more than happy to go help gank a griefer.

To reinforce what other people have said, if harrasment has occured outside of the game, then you have an obligation to contact your local authorities. Stalking is a serious crime and needs to be responded to. Merely because it started on the web does not make it any less so. Crossing of State and National boundaries only makes it more so.

I really wish we could post this griefers name here and I would gladly spend all my time in EVE chasing him down and pod him 10 times a day. But it won¦t achieve anything, since this particular griefer is a mentally ill person and would probably just enjoy it. It¦s incredible how much damage one evil person can do, he has come a long way to destroying the corp I¦m in and because of him a lot of wonderful people will no longer play EVE (please please reconsider you guys, you will be missed terribly!) 
To the person who caused this misery: I hope your [censored] happy now, you god damn [censored] [censored] etc etc...
I¦m upset and angry right now

We never been the best of freinds, but we always got out good enof together.

If there is some form of harrassment going on in game or on the forums the GMs or moderators can take actions to stop it. We can't however do anything if it's outside those venues.
There are however other ways, you can contact ISPs etc to have them look into something, most ISPs has strict rules about these things. You can also contact local authorities, but internatonally it is probably difficult to get them to do something.
If something happens in game you should immediately submit a harrassment petition and the GMs will deal with it, if something happens on the forums you should email us ([email protected]) and let us deal with it. But we can't do anything about things that happens elsewhere.
Either way, it is sad to see you go because of something like this and best of luck with whatever you do in the future.
