Hello everyone,
It is with great sadness that I shall be leaving eve very shortly.
My time spent in eve over the past 15 months or so has on the whole been a wonderful experience except for the actions of one player who has made it impossible for me to carry on.
CCP are more interested in subscription fees and using resources in other areas than in protecting their members.
Of couse we have all heard the response from GM's 'im very sorry but there nothing we can do' etc replies from GM's, these comments can be tolerated when it is just a gameplay issues that can be overcome in time (although in all honesty this too should not happen but we tolerate it as eve is a great product and the problems will be resolved one day  ).
This is not about in game items being lost or other connected issues this is about violation of EULA.
However when more serious issues arise you would expect a greater level of support that is sadly lacking at this present time.
Therefore my cancellation will be submitted shortly once my loose ends are tied up.
I would like to say a thank you to all the people I have got to know in eve its been a pleasure knowing you and you will all be missed very much.
To the people who supported my LK Research Project I am forever in your debt, you placed trust in me someting that is often lacking in the eve community where assets are concerned and made that project a great enjoyment for me, its a shame I cannot continue to serve the community through my project anymore.
To the people that know me thank you again its been a pleasure, to those that dont that means I didn't get round to selling you something 
To the person who caused this read my signiture and take note!!!!!

This is just sad ppl asking for stuff when u see a player who have been here longer then most ppl here and haw the clean players that just wanna play the game and enjoy eve as it is but some ppl make it hard to play why don¦t know i have known Leisha Kael for a long long time and never have i seen anything bad from her side never so can¦t belive that someone should have anything on her , and funny i see a post of a good friend and here as i today were talking with the Caldari race ppl and telling them haw nice the event was and haw good it was to be in the race but that the GM¦s in game are not as understaning as they should be and i hear this i just can¦t belive it just can¦t sure alot of ppl trying to get free stuff from gm¦s , but no all are bad becuse some are i just hope guys and gals at eve look into this deep if this happends now it could happend again and soon all the good player will be gone and i don¦t want that to happend so pls do something.

What happenned? Your post make it sound like someone scammed you, but how and who? There should be way to protect you from scams, so I am curious how he scammed.

The purpose of this thread is to say bye as there are many people I know in eve and this is the easiet way, not create a whos right or wrong.
I know who is right, and I stated a violation of EULA not related to game issues that kind of narrows it down.
Hopefully CCP will take note and stop this from happening to anyone else in the future.

nothing to do with scams, unfortunately. All items are replaceable. And someone with Leisha's background wouldn't quit unless it was with a heavy heart.
I met you because of the LK Research project, we became friends. It is a sad day to see you leave. I really hope you reconsider quitting over the actions of one player. I urge you to not let him win. Stand tall, stand proud and stare him down the barrel of a 425mm named railgun.
If you do leave, i wish you good luck in whatever you do. You know where we are, fare ye well.

Basically don't post an harassment petiton as it will get you nowhere.
There are people playing this game with emotional problems and if you get on the wrong side of them and they decide to take action against you then you are not in a position to do anything about it as ccp will do nothing. They will claim you have not provided any evidence to back up your claim but will not accept chat logs as these can be falsified. They themselves probably do not have copies of all the chat logs as that would require too much storage space. They will not accept the complaints of a large group of people and will ask that you and your friends stop harassing them and in my opinion they will tend to defend themselves first.
In my opinion this game cannot be considered safe for children to play as I severely doubt that ccp would act against anyone in areas of harassment unless the accusations appeared in the tabloids.
Hey i didn't get made redundant three times for being too diplomatic and keeping my mouth shut.

If you knew about some of the harrasment she has had to endure for the last year I think you might feel differently.
Due to this persons harrasments 10 of our corp members have now cancelled their subscriptions, we expect more to cancel their subs soon as well. It is a shame as eve is a good game but when this sort of thing happens and ccp only watch and don't act (they don't have any evidence despite numerous people petitioning this person) we feel it is time to move on.

How exactly does one go about being harassed in EVE?
I ask mainly because you can block annoying players, and if they try to kill you, they really arent harassing, theyre just being ebil pirates.
Do they follow you around and call you a scammer or what? I'm actually curious as to how to harass someone through EVE, because it doesnt seem that feasible to me.
Incidentally, I have petitioned a few people that used multiple characters to send hatemail over a ship loss or something, and the GMs have been pretty good about shutting it down.

1) You can ignore ppl in chat channels.
2) You can reject invitations.
3) You can bribe others to make their lives miserable by causing them great loss of Ships etc... (Shameful plug for m0o here)
4) If the harrasment is meaningful and you can document it, it may be a matter for your local law enforcement officers. If you can't document it, try to get a law officer to come and watch you play for a bit to see if it repeats itself.
CCP is not an enforcement body for good or even bad behavior. Even the EULA to which you refer has various issues regarding it. Where does it apply? What is the standard of Harrasment? Iceland? The UK? US?
It's a slippery path that unfortunately is difficult to walk EVEN if they want to help you and believe you.
It's a shame anyone would leave because someone has harrased them so, but I"d suggest if your really bothered seek out help locally.

There is not much that can easily be proved except by people vouching for what they say and as stated above it went beyond in game issues - as you say they can be blocked.

And you absolutely, positively cannot take the word of people in EVE.
I'm sure I could get 50 people to petition and call you an evil bastard who's threatened all of us with dismemberment. That doesnt make it true, it just means that we dont like you.

If there was OOG action, there are (legal, note, before anyone starts whining) ways you can respond.
Also, if someone is taking this sort of action, do you realy think uping and leaving Eve will stop them from harrassing you? Even if they say they will, do you trust their word?
There are ways and means. Without meaning to sound nasty, in todays world it's better to know about them.

What the heck happened is what I want to know.
Doc or LK, if you have time send me an in-game message or something. Ya'll are (were?) a great corp, and I'm darn sure there's a place here at Karwal for you to stay in EVE at, instead of cancelling.
Of course I don't know what happend, (might have good reasons) so let me know if you wish. Don't know if I can help, but I owe you at least what I can give.
