When you referr to things like "Team "do whatever we want with no oversight"" I hope you realise that other people don't know what you are talking about, which makes it difficult to really respond.
From what I understood, when CCP ignore the players you complain, and now that they are doing what players have asked for and improving the quality of the game you also don't like that.
To respond more fully to you, please could you list the changes and in which way they will increase lag while decreasing functionality so that I can understand where you are coming from.
It would also be useful if you could link to some of your forums posts where you propose your ideas for how to improve EVE, I can read them and understand what features you would like to see instead of what CCP are releasing.

I can Point one major effect that is going to happen. Within 30 Days CCP will see a major financial loss enough to cause at least one to 5 people there to be fired over this. No two ways about it. What was mentioned above is pretty accurate. a lot of players make their money on the Anomalies, so by removing them, you are pretty much killing peoples abilities to make the isk needed to buy Plex cards, from there, players who buy the GTC's will not be selling as many, so i guess a plus side would be that Plex prices will go back down, but at what cost? I foresee a lot of players outright quitting the game because they cannot afford to play anymore.
actully this would be good for the eve economy as it means that there will be less isk being introduced into the game via plex...but then again by this logic it is also good for lots of ships to be blown up...

at least the hamsters are geting a rest 
and as for all of you moaners out there, this doesnt happen every day, maybe once every month or two, so really complaining about missing 1 day in a month when you'd actully be on us a bit pathetic, since there is an excelent game called RL with excelent graphics 6.8 bn players etc, go try it...no offence meant.

And still, this forum thread has yet to be updated with ANY info from the devs on the progress and status of the patch, unlike last time when they gave us hourly or :30 minute updates on the progress. Come on ccp, wake up, learn from last expansion's success and start keeping your subscribers informed on how things are going, and why it is taking so long. would you prefer it if they were on here talk with us or working on fixing the problem... as most of us would prefer the latter

just thought id better say ty to ccp as obviously something went wrong and they managed to get it to work again, reasonably quickly, and seriusly, people who moan i have a message for you, its just a game...
