Why do people get sucked into Apple's products?

Iphone lineup...most terribad thing ever. They first released the original iphone, biggest pile of **** ever(granted it was one of the good smartphones out there but for ú500...srsly). Never even had 3g, so they had an excuse to release another iphone (Iphone 3G). The same screen, memory, cpu..you name it. But starting price was the same as the first ever Iphone despite it had a different look and added 3G. The difference between the 3G and 3GS is incredible....but around 2-3 month after the 3GS was out. Similar spec'd phones with better cameras and battery life where coming out, at a lower price. A great deal of HTC's phones where better at the same cost. Between 3GS ad Iphone 4, significant difference in hardware specs (but having a signal is good right?) What annoys me about the Iphone 4 is the fact that around 2 month after release apple announced we would have an Iphone 5 by Q3 of 2011. The prices, small difference in spec and v small release date between each phone aside....they are locked down to high hell and are a right fkin pain in the ass to properly root. So after all my rambling, my main questions is....are apple products for people that walk into a shop and look around then ask "Well the best thing must be the most expensive, lets just buy that" and why choose them over Android based phones....besides the uber user friendly interface apple seem to like. tl;dr apple expensive, for rich idiots, Android rules, Iphone 5 is a gay idea etc etc Please indicate on the doll where Steve Jobs touched you? PRAISE THE SCOTTISH FOLD!! THEIR WILL SHALL BE DONE!!
