Say your corporation gets wardec'd by a one man corp. You check local in each system you enter for war targets. aproaching a jump gate to the next system 2 nuetral pilots jump through as well. Upon reaching the other side of the gate the 2 nuetral pilots are suddenly in the corp that has wardec'd you and proceed to destroy your ship. Podding away just in time you alert your corp of the attack and proceed to get a properly fitted pvp ship, only no targets as the 2 pilots that attacked you are now again back in nuetral corps. You file a petition and get no response. So you have an alt corp wardec the corporations that are associated with the pilots that attacked you. 24 hours and 6 million isk later your war goes into effect only to have one of the corps close and reopen the same corporation 10 minutes later hereby rendering your war null and void. Again another petiton only to be told by a GM that no foul on the play all is good. If this situation were to happen to you what would your thoughts and actions to this situation be ? Clearly to me when I heard about this thought deliberate exploit of game mechanics and immediate action should be taken as well as reimbursement of the pilots lost faction battleship... What would you do ?

We had something similar happen.
A corp wardec'd us and we cornered 6 of them into a system so they couldn't escape. The next thing we know, all 6 quit their corp and were able to fly out.
A few jumps later they were back in their corp and at war with us again.

Ahhhhh
yet another great example of how CCP completely failed.
Why don't you guys find a real pvp game where there aren't stupid arggo mechanics that can be exploited.

The obvious solution is to move into lowsec. Concord won't stop you from killing them there, regardless of the corp they're in.

24 hour waiting period would solve that.

If they joined the corporation without waiting for a session change then it's an exploit and you should petition it. ---

Jumping thru the gate counts as a session change.
No exploits here, move along.

So, you were flying around in a non-PvP fit faction battleship, without a scout, during wartime. And you want the GM's to reimburse you for some reason? Never mind whether or not the other guys were exploiting or not, *you* are a damm idiot.

Have you gone through proper channels to report it?
Considering that corps are not allowed to alliance hop to avoid wars, it stands to reason that individuals are subject to the same rules.

Do the same thing they are... Quit corp and make a new one. problem solved. They lose money and they have to wait 24 hours to pvp again.

Did you even read?
If he had scouts, he still wouldn't know who is a wartarget because they become accepted into the corp after they jump the gate, in turn becoming targets.

I thought joing/leaving a corp had to be done inside a station. When you are outside flying, you can't join or leave a corp in the dead of space. So I wonder how those cornered peeps in the OP's story were able to change corps outside of station.

I'm pretty sure this is true now...
