If the scanner locates a ship in a certian direction, how do you home in on it? there appears to be no Warp To option.

you need to use the probes. The closer the range of probe the more accurate your warp. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |

If youre just using the scanner to locate people in asteroid belts, then probes are unneccessary. Just narrow it down to which belt with the ship, and warp to the belt.

Scan Probes, they are needed to warp to ships you find on the scanner

I'm going to assume that youre going to be applying the scanner to attempt belt piracy. In that application, scan probes are completely and totally useless due to the increadily long delay time that probes require.
Using the scanner to locate people in belts involves scanning the belts and seeing if any ships are there. There are a couple good scanner guides, I think over at eve-i.com.

Rollin, I don't see how this can be done. Ever since Exodus my overview never shows ships that are not in the immediate area. Even if I look towards a belt or a gate my overview just shows the belt/gate.
Is there some max range or some way to turn on scanner functionality I am missing? _____________________________________________ I am motivated by various things, mostly ISK. |

The scanner was seperated from the overview. Its located in a button on the HUD, looks like a little radar sweep. The directional scanner in that window works just like the directional/range scanner that was in castor, except you do range by setting the directional scanner to 360 degrees.

Thanks, that was a huge revelation. I thought they had eliminated the scanner in Exodus !
