Hello,
Could someone please inform what exactly Tech lvl 2 stuff will be. Example: will it just be a Sheild Booster with better stats than the original or will it be a different name or maybe the current pirate drop ones becoming the normal.
Also will it ever apply to ships, I.E a MOA with more power-grid,sheilds or maybe an extra med-slot.
And have we been officially told when we can expect to see these items. I hope they gradually flow into place not all in one patch.

yeah there are already a few tech level 2 items in game like power diagnositc units nd such

Even I have managed to find tech level 2 items from low level pirates (those 1-2k ones).
It exists :)

ok, sorry i just never taught pirate loot was the offical tech lvl 2 eqiupment, just that it was better versions of the standard.
Then does anyone know about the ship's, will we have tech lvl 2 versions of them

There wil be both things like "Miner 2" (player-built) and "HeNe Particle Bore Stream II" (pirate dropped)

Power Diags are tech level I (I got flamed for it in IRC when I claimed it was TL2 =\)

I've got 2 different power diagnostic units (name may vary slightly), and one is tech level 1 and one is tech level 2. The lvl 2 one is better than the lvl 1 strangely enough.

What are the names?
AFAIK no tech lvl 2 items except for the Miner 2 lasers are in the game. The "best" Power Diagnostic System currently in the game is the "Beta Reactor Control: Power Diagnostic" item. It only differs from the basic Power Diagnostic System I in the amount of CPU it requires, all the boni are the same (and PDS II will have overall better stats, with a tradeoff of higher CPU costs).

Most if not all of these have been fixed. I used to have a Local Power Plant that was one of the items that was misreporting itself as tech 2 and it changed to tech 1 with the recent patches.

The capacitor recharge rate boosters marked as Tech II definately are. One of our corp members was also flammed on trade for saying they were tech II...so we petitioned ('Hmmm...maybe they're not tech II after all'), and were told that the items we had were definately tech II.
