Let's not forget this thread guys.
Still fighting the good fight here o7
....
Reported 7 botters in my home system a week ago.
The petition response was an unexpected apology for the delay in getting back to me and a nice thankyou for reporting the characters. No response as of yet regarding any action that will be taken or has already been taken, but i would not expect CCP to nourish me with such information. However i have noticed 6 of these reported players have vanished from the system, although i am still observing and watching.
...and the petition remains open.
It might not be much in the grand scheme of things that i 'may' have gotten 6 bots banned for two weeks...but hey, every little helps. I don't want to be the 'police' but isn't it upto us to grow some balls and fight back?!!
p.s. Stealth Vigilante sounds better than the rozzers

Round Two!
Good luck CCP.
Time for me to take my hunt to the next level. So far, I've been using alts to keep track of certain "toons" that act suspicious. I managed to find a "suspicious" toon in The Forge, but so far it's hard to tell if that toon is really a bot. I will have to observe it some more before I report to CCP.
Like you i am tracking and keeping notes on what i have observed and then reporting to CCP when i feel i have enough convincing evidence through my observations/interactions. I basically report the players names and the system i have seen them operate in, I then state that i have observed them for a good amount of time and that if CCP were to investigate these players then i am confident that they too will will see these accounts to be in breach of the EULA with the use of macro programs.
It seems i was pre-emptive in celebrating the banning of certain bots in my system, as unfortunately they have reared their ugly heads again ...but i have faith that ultimately these characters are being monitored with an impending Ban/Caution on the horizon. My observations have shown me that these bots suddenly changed their botting hours significantly to avoid detection, since the current 'heat' on bots, but it seems they are crawling out of the woodwork again.
Seriously does anyone else think we need some sort of organised in-game player based effort against the bots? or maybe there are already Bot hunting Corps out there? I would be very interested in joing or forming an organised co-alition of Players Against BotsÖ. Maybe we should bring together the rabble of Bot hunters out there into an organised force? Share intel and bot tears etc

Originally by: Cole Whittaker snip NinjaSpud, should this thread include a list of people/corps combating botting in game as well? I know of at least one player built website (google "eve bot report" and it comes to the top) and I figure getting everyone on the same page would be a good move for "our side"
this. Yes please!

I'm curious how well an 'anti mining' corp would do.
If one where started would any of my readers join it?
Perhaps a anti-bot intel channel instead?
You could count me in Spud.
Also a dedicated Anti-Bot chanel is a great idea. A place to share intel and organise Bot attacks maybe? Somewhere to rally the troops.

I'm impressed with the amount of power the players have here. +1 to the anarachy republic of Eve.
That power exists as an in-game force also. Maybe its time to harness its energy in the form of an organised bot destruction force.

Wow....today i had a great response by a senior GM to my petition in which i reported 7 bots in a system which i'd been observing in Heimatar for some time.
response went something like this...
Hello, Senior GM xxxxxx here,
I've investigated the entire lot of reported pilots and some additional characters, remotely connected to their activities. I've written a detailed report about their actions and included your report from this petition in a mail to our Game Masters' group, responsible for the investigation of policy violations in general and this type of activity in specifically.
I hope, the actions you're expecting will take effect in-game within the next 3-5 workdays' time. Please, feel free to update this petition in case no change to the situation and the consistent presence of those pilots you listed, is noticeable within a week's time at most. If you prefer to have this petition closed in the meantime, so you can send us a reminder in a new petition instead, please keep me informed of this.
Best regards, Senior GM xxxxxx EVE Online Customer Support Service
Im sure they wouldn't mind me posting this I want people to know that CCP are doing something about this problem.
I think this is good news and will only encourage me to keep fighting until the war is won. I hope it encourages others to do the same and know that your efforts are not in vain.
Guiton
