It looks pretty good. From what I have seen so far it looks like if you die, you stay dead, though you can create another charecter and continue off of what you were doing without the possessions you had on you nor the skills you had acquired.
They asked me if I was a God, and I said no, because God doesn't have an annoying sig. |

I suspect Salem itself will experience permadeath less than a year after it opens.

Yeah well permadeath writes off probably 90% of the population, and the other 10% aren't gonna pay microtransations for disposable characters.

...or become Hello Kitty Online, chock-full of carebears, the vast majority of them huddled into cities a bit away from the initial spawn points to prevent griefer alts from too easily gaining access.

Interesting idea. Fianlly a MMO with some balls to try and not be a WOW clone.

I could not agree more. But I expect the "permadeath" will disappear quickly if they even release the game with it.

People still play hardcore mode in diablo 2.. While this type of mmo takes more capital to keep active. I suspect they are able to fund it or they would not make it free to play.

Haha, great idea - "insert coin to continue" like the old arcade machines, i.e. pay to resurrect (I bet).
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming
