How the hell do I get to L2 missions?
Minmatar space, working Boundless Creations Corp. Got my L1 agent standing to 7.0 and my Corp. Standing to 1.0. l2 agent info says I only need .90 standing w/Corp. To qualify for missions, but it isn't working.
I also have L3 Social skills and L3 Diplomacy.
Seriously lost on understanding how to get to higher level missions.

Grind more standing.
For help with finding proper agents: http://eve-agents.com/ (but careful, may not be 100% up to date)

At the risk of sounding fatuous and obtuse, I mean the skill "Connections"

Folks do L1's?
Couldn't you do the NPE tutorials, then toddle off to the SoE arc and start directly on L3's? Always figured L1's were only for the poor 'tards with negative standings.

In the category of Social skillz, you'll find a skill named Connections. Buy it and train it to level 3. If that doesn't give you access to lvl 2 agents, then train it to 4.

Are you sure the L2 agent works for the same corp? Also what is your corp standing towards Boundless Creation and what the quality of the L2 agent is?

You must relog once you gain the standings to make the agent avilable.

Train Connections skill. That should open up the lv 2 agent if your corporation standing is high enough.
Also do the re-log trick.

I think this was resolved in quite a recent patch, I've been grinding some standings recently and didn't need to relog when I moved to a better agent.

You need to have a standing with the faction that corp is tied too higher than -2.0 to use an agent higher than l1 q0. Is this your problem?

Edited by: Traska Gannel on 05/04/2011 15:08:42 The standing required to use an agent with level L and quality Q is the following.
S = 2*(L-1) + Q*0.05
with the exception that you can start to access some L1 agents with a standing of -2.0.
So a L4 Q20 agent requires a standing of 7.0 with either corporation or faction to use.
A L2 Q -20 agent requires a standing of 1.0.
I'm not sure how the L2 agent show info would indicate a required standing of 0.9 for use. I've checked several agents and they all follow the above formula.
Occasionally, if you have made recent standings gains then the update isn't factored in until you relog. In addition, the standings report is rounded which means you can sometimes have 0.99 rounded to 1.0 which would make it appear in the display that you have the required standings but are actually a little short still.
The best advice to access higher level agents faster has been mentioned ... train the connections skill.

I've noticed a bug where if you talk to an agent that requires X standing, and you have less than X, and then you grind to where you have more than X and talk to the agent again, they don't offer missions.
If you log on and off, try again, they will offer missions. The game seems to cache "eligibility" for missions until you log off.
