Terribly sad, some flippant **** with block backing makes a joke of the whole CSM process, destroying years of work good people have done trying to show the CSM is valid and can do good. No - no 'delicious tears' from me... the CSM is not supposed to be some joke and that is what this makes it. Sad, not tear-worthy. Very sad. Not sure why but the CSM always seemed like people stepping up and being mature and trying to make a difference, not to make a mockery of it. That might be fun for the goon crowd, but really sad for all of eve in the end.

Why bother? To give an attention ***** more than his 15 mins of fame? Not gonna.
Originally by: Keldar Anassi EVE Report recently sat down(virtually) with The Mittani, Chairman of the incoming CSM6. We asked him about his campaign for the CSM, his reactions to being election , his thoughts on the community and so much more. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed hearing it from him.
you can read the interview here on evereport.com.

Originally by: Vertisce Soritenshi I have my qualms with the previous CSM but they also got a lot of good things done.
Other than a bunch of hilarious drama and a lot of hot air about some stuff nobody cares about what, exactly, did they accomplish?
For a start they made sure that micro transactions would only be used for vanity items... remember when the idea of plex for remaps came up? Task force on lag after the demonstration of module lag during fleet fights. A pledge that incarna will not slow down 'spaceship' stuff such as docking and changing ships. There's 3 major ones straight off the top of my head.
It pretty rude how dismissive Mittani is of CSM 5's efforts, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he struggles when he realises quite how much hard work it is.
1. The massive outcry on the forums is what caused CCP to back away from microtransactions...the CSM might have talked about it but it wasn't *because* of them that the decision was made.
2. Are you really trying to say that the "lag taskforce" wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for CSM5? lol
3. CCP says a lot of things. Incarna is going to **** up the game no matter what CCP is committing to now.
So like I said before, CSM5 didn't really *do* anything. They actually did less than nothing when they sat silent when CCP started talking about dumb things like removing jump bridges.

Well then by your logic nothing any previous CSM has ever done has made a bit of difference and nothing any future CSM does will make any difference either. So with that said who cares if Mittani is in the CSM or not...nothing he does will matter because it is all CCP. NO BOOBIES LEFT BEHIND! |

Actually yes I am saying that. There was a meeting where some FRAPS footage was shown to CCP by a CSM member and as a direct result of that they realised how bad lag had become. Just goes to show how badly you fail to understand how the CSM interacts with CCP, one of the advantages is that they can sometimes communicate with people who haven't really been listening to the staff they manage.
I get where Mittani is going with this, denigrate the work of others, claim every future victory as purely his own. He really is turning this into a political competition that has nothing to do with what is good for the players but is instead focussed on what's good for himself. But to do this he needs to divide and concur the CSM which means that the unified front needed to motivate CCP is being hamstrung already since he's so busy saying how multiple members he's supposed to be working with are completely useless. CSM5 was the best one so far, CSM6 looks like it's going to be the worst just because of Mittani's ego.

Admit it, even if Mittens and CSM6 cured cancer you guys would paint him as a failure. Soz your guy didn't get enough votes.

Accomplishments of the CSMs to date:
CSM 1: uh... skillqueue? CSM 2: lol, CSM CSM 3: lol, CSM CSM 4: lol, CSM + lol, stakeholder CSM 5: lol, CSM... :18 months: ... then creation of team BFF (with the attendant emphasis on fixing all the small niggles that have accumulated in the game) and Gridlock, fixed rockets, removal of learning skills, commitment to keeping MT items vanity-only, UI improvements
CSM 5 is perceived as having been successful because it got a hell of a lot more CSM issues implemented during its term than did any of the preceding CSMs, and CCP explicitly cited the CSM as having played a significant role in getting those changes implemented. Collective tantrums related to half-trollish comments about jump bridges notwithstanding, it was orders of magnitude more effective and good for the playerbase/game as a whole than the preceding CSMs combined. I'm not in PL and Mittens is pretty fail.
I mean did you read any of that rubbish that he posted for TenTonHammer? He's an egotistical moron who believes that the world should revolve around him, just a pity he's duped so many Goons..... not that that's hard apparently >.>

Arguing on the internet... about INTERNET SPACESHIP politics... Maybe, just maybe, everyone should pause for a minute and think about what WE all are arguing about. This is a game, but unfortunately some take it way too seriously.

Amasing debate technique you're demonstrating here.
How about countering my arguments with facts rather than attacking who I am.

He wasn't attacking who you are but rather who you are with. He has a point...it's not like PL is capable of being objective when it comes to Goons.
