Whats with all the hate guys? QOL in eve is up significantly because of these guys.
This. Team BFF have done more to make everyday life in EVE better than just about any other devs in CCP. If anything, CCP should "reinforce success" and expand the BFF. Turn that steady trickle of minor issue/bug fixes into a torrent! (Or at least two steady trickles)
Part of the reason that WoW is such a large and continued success is that Blizzard pay constant attention to small details, and it's an area that has been consistently neglected for years in EVE until very recently.
You dont get the big flashy PR boosts or the instant hikes in subs from changes like "align to bookmark" and "remotely destroy jump clone", but you do get players subscribing for longer and being more likely to spread good word of mouth. In terms of $ return per dev hour, working on game polish pays good returns, but it pays them quietly, over the long term. At the moment, the returns are all the higher because there are so many outstanding issues with uncontentious solutions.
New players come for the expansions, but they stay for the polish in the minor things that they do every day they play.
Seriously this.

Soundwave for CCP CEO?
Team BFF's announcements at fanfest were possibly the most exciting ones there, I love Torfi's part it was epic but nothing I expected to see in EVE for a long ass time.

What the "BFF" in "Team BFF" should stand for is "this is what rolemodel every other team at CCP should aspire to". Yeah, it doesn't fit the acronym, but "Team TIWREOT@CCPSAT" doesn't have the same ring to it.

I'm the bitterest of the bitters about :ccp: and even I have to agree, Team BFF did more to help the game that the hordes of ****tards working on dolls in space, spacefarmville and shipping yet another generic FPS late, not even speaking about the web team... However, still a case of too little to late, I mean, I played yesterday and the overview, the most basic feature of all is still not working properly... (ghosts, sorting issues, stuff flashing that shouldn't i.e stations, not that it wasn't widely reported before...).
But basically Team BFF is the only team working on improving EVE and not ruining it, too bad they are that badly outnumbered...

PS: At this point I'd emo-rage-quit or instigate a threadnaught but, truthfully, I won't as it would demean those who done these things recently for very good reasons that I totally respect. Funny is funny but mean and disrespectful is not.

Well they sure have done good job in the past with fixing the small annoying stuff but WTF happened in this patch ? Null sec changes, like total turnaround in null sec vision compared to the one published when Dominion came out with seriously lacking communication, not testing in SiSi, no time to make changes in plans for null sec infrastructure. Not to mention total lack of testing in this patch ? Like WTF ?
Really guys, get the crap together you are seriously getting sloppy. Sorry if it's not your fault but the serious ****ups in the 1.4 patch are like seriously underwhelming.
