Originally by: Ashlar Maidstone Dear CCP,
On the day I first signed up and down loaded the client, I thought it was going to be an experience like I never had before. Well, guess I was sorta right and wrong. You see, I was looking for something different, something that would take my breath away, something that would hold my interests and fantasies. Well, it didn't happen that way exactly. But I too, held on for the ride thinking it would be better over time. In some ways it has gotten better somewhat, but really in other ways worse.
Over the past year now I have experienced a bit of disapointment, I experienced something that hasn't met my expectations of what this game was suppose to be, and I'm sure others will agree. It's broken, it's needs a complete overhaul, of reintroducing all of the little things thats made Eve what it is today, and yet sadly voices have been crying out to you, and yet you chosen to ignore the truths and realities.
I don't know what else I can say other than the fact remains that you portrayed a "Vision of the future", a future that would introduce more to the experience, the mere thought of walking in a station, in creating an atmosphere unlike in any other MMORPG, an experience that would lead to a much broader experience in a scifi world.
An experience where, we the community can fully immerse ourselves outside our spaceships in an enviroment that is Eve. I like to see the day come when I can log in and be in my Captains Quarters you are touting, I like to be able to walk out and look up to an active ship, and wonder at the size of it. I like to be able to put on pretty clothing as I walk around a station, socializing with my fellow players.
But, finally I came to realize this is not gonna happen overnight of course and for me to hereby express my vote of No Confidence until such time that you realize that we were telling you the truth, then and ONLY then will I be able to say that I play Eve to my family and friends outside of Eve and to show them what it is and why I play.
In closing I will not cancel my subscription but let it lapse till such time as I see what is taking place in the forseeable future.
An Eveonline Player,
