You don't mean to imply that someone who is not a professional is not able to properly criticize or give correct suggestions? That sentiment was hinted at in the OP as well. I don't believe anyone here actually believes it. Yeah there's plenty of idiots but I've seen several posters in particular who tend to be right when they say X is a problem and will cause Y so do Z instead. However, your worst-case scenario would involve a large number of uncharacteristically mercenary decisions on CCP's part. Currently it seems to me that they're behaving more like poorly-organised auteurs with a big vision for the game that runs into various roadblocks when they try to realise it. Dust is a big idea, Incarna is a big idea; at the same time they're under real pressure to keep modernising the core of the game to bring in new customers, it's not surprising that they screw up a lot.

That doesn't mean they are always going to make the right decisions. People like Akita are doing well by calling CCP out on their bull**. They don't change course simply on their own, it takes veritable storms to right them. Akita has done more for this game through the 100 paper cuts thread most EVE players can claim. Akita knows what he is talking about when he complains. Look most of us complaining have been around since when you thought EVE was that ty space game banner that pops up in your Guild Forums page. We know what EVE WAS like, we knew WHERE it could have gone. We still play the game because we would rather see it excel then collapse. If your going to be a pleb and pretend everything is fine "la-la-la" then shut the up and keep playing while Akita and others like him slowly set ** straight.
