*Disclaimer* this post is not to embarrass the victims of the valiant battle badger, it is only to celebrate the power of this beautiful creature. All victims got a small donation of isk for being good sports
Last night I went on a mission. I was to get a kill in the fiercest industrial there is, the mighty badger mk II. I told my CEO in corp as I set out from Jita, and he immediately set destination to Perimeter as I began my journey. As i left, I passed a few familiar C&P faces on the Perimeter gate. They gave me their kind regards of good luck in the C&P channel and I set out, looking for blood.
As I arrived in Perimeter, I was pleased to see there were only 3 belts to check. With 80 in local i warped to the first belt with glee. I was excited, a can miner mining in Commorant. He was not buying it so I shrugged my shoulders and flew to the bottom belt.
In warp my badger picked up the scent of a can miner. I primed my damage control and sensor booster as I landed on grid and sure enough, a Coercer can mining. I flip him and he is obviously disgruntled. I inform him that I am only hungry for ore. He flies off and..
RETURNS!!! IN HIS OMEN OF DOOM!!!
I was flabbergasted but quickly locked him! I got my webs on him and he sent out his drones. My lock time of 19 seconds was not fast enough to efficiently take out the drones so I layed my one autocannon into the omen's shields! I have broken his shields! And my passive tank is holding! DEAR SCOTT!!! By this time my battle cries in local had drawn quite a crowd to the belt. A rifter and manticore watched as we fought, stealing from my can hoping to get in on the spectacle. But I could not break his cap stable armor tank! Cycling my neut was not working!
But my CEO bear came to the rescue, with faction fusion M!! He swept into the belt in his ishkur, murdering the poor manticore and dropping me a can. 25 minutes pass and he finally decides to stop repping his armor. After repping 32,000 damage, he slowly goes down
BOOM http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=14291091
Many cheers were had in local and I was awarded the medal of the honey badger. But the night did not end there.
Bear decided to swap the ishkur for a cap transfer Itty III, a valiant boat capable of sending me enough cap to keep me stable with my neut. Se we set on another journey to Amarr. As we pass through Inaro, a retriever on scan! With a can! I fly in flip his can, and he warps off... Bear is patiently aligned in his triage itty. And..
A CATALYST ON SCAN!!! http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=14291420
Needless to say with my large amount of cap he did not last long. We awarded him many a "GFs" in local as he did almost break my tank before he was neuted out.
At this time Bear had to go to sleep, living in the UK and all.. So being 2 for 2 i set distination home....
But what was this??? the MOTHERLOAD??? I think to myself... "This Honey Badger can take a whole swarm of bees! It doesnt give a damn!"
I flipped the can and after anouncing "Hail Satan!" and "Bring it on you scoundrels!" in local, went down in a firery ball of badger flames.

It was quite a glorious end to my night....

Love it!
Brilliant idea / brilliant post. I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it. |

Found the Video.
There was a video that circulated here on the forums a few years back where a corp did gate camps with badgers. They were able to take out a Vagabond, and then engaged a battleship. Dunno how the battleship engagement ended because the video cut off after killing the Vagabond. Was a fun video because they were having a blast on voice. ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o ) ( o Y o )
The world would be a better place if boobies ran the world instead of boobs. |

That's funny, I though miners were all cowardly carebears who never fight.
What of all those C&P threads raging about carebears and too many players being PVP-averse?

This post reminds me of watching Battle Badger pvp vids YEARS ago, anyone see it, had a sound track of better than you (Metallica).
Was back when ECM wasn't chance based, he was baiting and permajamming Cruise missile kestrels in 0.0...
Oh memories! |
