A player named Blixxtor is running a combat bounty bot in scannable deds in the Rorsin solar system. If anyone has got any tips on catching him please give advice. As soon as a player enters system the bot warps to a safe and cloaks. I've tried to lay probes out at it's safe but I can never get it in time before it cloaks. The best that I can do is leave a char in system afk 23/7 to ruin his ISK. The most annoying thing is that the char has been around for 5 years showing what little care CCP has for bots unless it's tied with ISK selling.
Botting like this is the primary reason why EVE local needs removed ASAP.

Rorsin is a low system I thought about that I'm just going to do it with an instant lock frig and warp a pvp alt onto it tonight. Although I'm not sure that will even be fast enough to catch it. I will try get a good angle of where it safes up though and try get a scan before the cloak.

Good call. While they're at it, they should sent he same warning to the OP since he must be doing the same for 23/7 to know so indefinitely that this "bot" is running for the same period of time.  |

Just keep an alt cloaked in system to prevent him from running the anoms.
Remember to remain seated at your PC the whole time as AFKing is immoral and causes PVE ships to die and makes New Eden a very dangerous place.

I petitioned the bot several times and got fob'd off with use the report bot function which does nothing in reality. I got bored of CCP doing nothing about it so I now run an alt in Rorsins 23/7 grinding annoms too. Where do I get the energy to run the same 4 annoms 23/7? Red bull and I won't hear any accusations of macro what so ever, none, nada!

Here's how you catch him:
- Create new Toon
- Train toon to have cloaking ship
- AFK cloak in his system
- If he carries on ratting eventually as he's used to you, go to step 6. If he moves system go to step 5.
- Move to the new system he is in, AFK cloak, return to step 4.
- Now that he is used to your presence and is mining away swoop in, point him and blow him up. Then talk to him to get his tears and save them in a jar.

It would appear that CCP has dealt with this matter if only for a limited time period. Blixtor has gone from being on 23/7 running the same 4 annoms to not logging on for a week now. Horrah for the system!

The best way to get CCP to look at this character, if it's not been done already is to raise a petition and report the character to the GMs.

see "report bot" works. it just takes them a bit to investigate the bot reports (to make sure its a real bot rather than you just trying to screw over the guy who jacked your anom)

If you think that a player is using a bot or any other way to automate game play, please use the "Report Bot" function. You can find the "Report Bot" function by right clicking the four little horizontal bars in the upper left corner of the players Show Info screen. Alternatively you can also file a petition to our Game Masters.
That said, discussions about a player using bot programs or other illegal methods are not allowed on our forum.
