Haven't logged in for some days and i've been greeted with this advertisement, and inmediately have been left wondering "when is that Labor day weekend?" I think it's something they do in the USA, but last time I checked, my feet were in a sorry piece of land on the southwestern tip of Europe and "Labor day" meant nothing for us.
Why every EVE player is greeted with an advertisement that only American can understand? Are we expected to understand it just because it's something American? Or are we being told to screw ourselves as it's only for American players?
Tip: as a rule of thumb, if your customers are international, don't use local events to mean dates, instead state the date clearly. (But you can screw that tip if you think that your customers appreciate cultural chauvinism...)

Eh, CCP felt bad for us americans, since they took all summer off. Its just a way to make it up to us and say we are sorry, by offering a 2 dollar discount on PLEX.
I will not be voting in the CSM election, so you need to go vote to make up for me. |

Isn't Labor Day where the US Government plans how to make their whole poor and middle class population into slaves, this being where the term Labor Day comes from?

No, its the day they celebrate us already being slaves and how easy it was to do. They let us share in the celebration as well with a day off, then back to the slave fields.

So I take it you don't know you had Allies in those 2 wars and that the President involved as well as the 2 Prime Ministers actually are wanted for charges of "Starting a war of aggression".
As to the war one was about oil the other was just showing the world how foolish you are. So in that thank you, you showed the world how low the United States had sunk.

First, I am not complaining, i am making a constructive suggestion to resolve an issue i've encountered.
Second, my issue is that the sale is announced in a way that the date can't be understood outside of the USA, which does not make much sense in a game with a widely international customer base.
Third, I guess that it's a sign of the Internet that nobody has bothered to say when the hell is "Labor day", but some guys are talking about drawers while they think that they are talking about something else...
