Sorry if this post isn't formatted in the way you guys are usually used to, I'm not very smart or an economist. I'll try to do my best!
Pretty simple, looking for a 1 billion ISK loan. I don't know how long I'll take to pay it back, so I will pay 0.1% interest every day (instead of a sum every month). Interest will not compound. I reserve the right to reduce my loan by paying you back in increments of 100 million at any time, reducing the interest I owe you. I can guarentee that I won't make any payments in the first month, so you can make some profit from interest.
Collateral will not be a problem, will provide default 110% (faction fit Proteus). If someone with a bigger name, who has a good reputation, offers to make this loan, I'll gladly provide up to 200% collateral.
Max term of the loan will be 6 months.
Thanks for you time, hopefully that wasn't too confusing to read

Hello, I'll fill this loan, I'd just like to check the fitting, since those kind of items may change in value.

Ditto on the above two. The fit determines its worth, though.

The Proteus is worth quite a bit more than 1 bil (I think it was around 1.5 last time I checked) so I'll probably remove a couple of mods from it. I'm sure an arrangement can be worked out, I'll take a look at the prices when I get a chance.

I am Romo's alt, and the current holder of the Proteus. The following price summary is put together by finding the lowest sell price on the Essence regional market, and rounding down to the nearest 10 million.
Proteus Hull: 230M Friction Extension Processor: 30M Augmented Plating: 80M Power Core Multiplier: 40M Hybrid Propulsion Armature: 100M Localized Injectors: 30M
Hull Total: 510M, let's call it half a bil.

That Proteus is not worth 1.5b. Nobody is going to buy it at that price, because most people aren't going to spend that much on those rigs.

I'm not sure what happened to this guy- he fell off the face of the earth. If I don't get any sort of response before the 27th, I am going to consider him in default and sell off his ship.

tbh, I'd buy a t2-trimark rigged proteus; it's one thing the proteus really takes advantage of.

Did you guys come to an agreement whereby he would pay something every month or commit to stay in touch? I'm all for declaring loans defaulted within a short window if the borrower fails to live up to his obligations but going on the OP alone it sounds like he made no monthly payment commitment. If that's the case I think you really need to hold the ship until the 6 months he mentions as the maximum term have passed.
Edit - Hmmm ... looking again at the OP he could be interpreted as committing to making a daily payment but this is undermined by his saying that he won't pay anything for at least the first month. It's all very unclear unless you arranged terms off the forum.

I know, it's the internet, so everything is open to interpretation, blah, blah, blah...
but what he meant was that he wouldn't be paying any of the principal back for a month so you can expect interest payments until then, so at least you can expect to make 3% interest before he decides to pay back.

Edited by: Rot Thun on 21/06/2011 21:54:47 The reason I even dredged this thread up is so that no one gets the impression I am ripping this guy off. He communicated quite readily during the purchase of the bond, and then just fell off the universe. I sent an evemail one month into the bond, and now another two months into the bond. I'm giving him a week to respond, and then I figure

I am going to check to see when he logged in last- if it was recent maybe I will try to in-game convo him.

But yeah.. the OP is conflicting like someone else said, it's promising both to pay daily and not to pay for 1 month. So technically you might want to wait for 1 month. Or I think it's just as valid to say that the contract contained self-contradicting conditions and is therefore void. The rigs are worth quite a bit but very few people would want to pay a large premium for them.
For the sake of analysis lets put together a price estimate, looking at sell prices: proteus: 181m defensive: 70m electronics: 30m engineering: 37m offensive: 75m propulsion: 33m magnetic stabs: 100m (ballpark) mwd: 80m (ballpark) web: 50m (ballpark) other stuff: around 20-30m
so roughly 680m without rigs
the rigs are worth 100m each.. so 980m
The ship is not really worth the collateral!
On top of that, would many people pay 300m for 3 T2 rigs on a Proteus for extra 15% armor vs about 10m for 3 T1 rigs? No. But as someone else mentioned these might be worth it on a Proteus, so if you look around it seems like you should be able to find a buyer.
So to be perfectly nice, i'd hang on to it for aoubt 20 days and start looking for a buyer then. If there's no payment on the day after 30 days i'd put the hull out on contracts. Evemail him to clarify, too.
