Hi all,
Was wondering which is the BEST pvp solo tank ship. I'm sure there will be web etc. Please dont say any Captial ship (example: Moros). Some thing more realistic like 4 vs 1, just tank enough to get reinforcement arrive.

Proteus, abaddon, and damnation are all excellent EHP bait tanks but obvious bait is obvious. Mael is pretty good if you can sneak in a blue pill or some gang links but is more sensitive to cap warfare and you probably won't be able to fit a web with your point

Triple rep Mrym or domi is good. No one really expects guns on them anyway so you can fill your highs with nos or nuets.

Hyperion beats abbadon EVERY time. People say hybrids suck, but the hyperions active tank is so ridiculous (1200dps omni w/exile) that while it is repping up, the abbadon pilot will die a slow death to the awesome dps of 8 blasters. Complete with web, scram, mwd, 2 heavy cap boosters and some ecm drones.

If you're looking for active tank then trip rep double injector myrm/hype (depending on your budget) are excellent.
Less vulnerable to neuts than a shieldtank, can get silly amounts of dps tanked with heat and exile pill. Hell if ya got a bigger budget you can go x-type reps on the hype and just get obscene amounts of tank.
Buffer you're looking at abaddon or damnation really, you'll need a gangbooster and a HG slave set to get the most out of them though.

lg crystals + blue pill+x-large sb + cap boosted maels are best for tanking small groups imo.
You can get some ridiculous numbers with a relatively small cost in modules.

Don't forget shield loki, 250k EHP with a gangboosting tengu. Buffer but has 643dps recharge heh
Still 190kEHP without the tengu though and 470dps recharge, so pretty nasty for a shield cruiser :D

The Claymore gets a better active tank than the Sleipnir. That extra mid does wonderful things for you.

I would say an overtanked buffer Proteus or Legion if you want to make sure people will engage, they are less likely to engage a 'brick' abbadon or domi and the like.
I seem to remember that Navy Augorors can sport a ridiculous armour 'bait' tank too....

Actually, there was a guy I remember awhile back who would fly a maller in gang as an actual ship (not bait)...he would never be primaried, and almost never killed. Try it, people are like mind ****ed not to attack mallers

A celestis that would last maybe 20 seconds against a solo shieldcane is utterly worthless for his needs

If we're talking bait t1 cruisers are the best imo. Frigate and cruiser hulls which would be intimidated by a bc or bs hulls don't hesitate to get them all.

You wont find that. You are asking for speed, tank and dps. You wont get that unless you like to fly Machariels or something like that.
