 I keep reading these "when CA fell" posts.
CA did not FALL....Implying that CA was defeated.
CA was never defeated. YOU listening Ginger Magician? you can change your Title now!
The Councel desolved and the Corporations there in walked away.
No one person is responsible and it wasn't because of anything anyone did to CA.
We just couldn't get along with one another and like all bad relationships....it had to end.
IF we(the CA)wanted too we could reform and punish you all for thinking such dangerous thoughts!!!

Frankly the whole thing is getting slightly annoying. If the major reason for the disbanding of CA was internal then fine. But to say everyone fighting you for the past year had nothing to do with it is a bit childish. Perhaps if you werenĘt taking a bad beating in the last few weeks of CA's life people wouldnĘt have been so stressed? Perhaps if the raids into CA's space didnĘt happen then your industrial corps wouldnĘt have bothered certain other corps so much. All little things adding up and to just dismiss it is a little silly.
CanĘt help thinking of guys who disconnect their computer to avoid losing an RTS game whenever I see a post like yours.

um the reason why ca fell is irrelevant..ca still fell. CA no longer exists therefore they fell. You fell to internal problems... whatever reason. |

CA fractured because of corps like VOTF/SUPRM/SNRA leaving....thats 80% of the regular CA pvp fleet gone right there.
My reasons for leaving CA...sick and tired of carrying others while they get rich and did nothing to help.

For anyone to say that CA broke apart because of external powers is just rediculous. We handled everything Eve threw at us, it was purely internal.

I'd really like to believe all that... But I can't, based on 1 simple fact.
When CA "SURRENDERED" to SA, they did not surrender to Xetic. Had they stayed and fought, I may have a different perspective. But running to the other side of the galaxy did put a different aspect on the whole situation.
In retrospect, AFAIK m0o hasn't "run away" from wars that they started. If they have, please clarify, but that is a pretty bad analogy IMO.

Nah man, you missed my point. I know we suck at PvP. I know CA had tons of internal issues. I've been over this time and time again.
Point is, they still fell as an alliance, but left an open war declaration in place. A war declaration that CA had originally declared no less. Instead of making peace with SA, and continue fighting Xetic, the chose to make peace with SA, and then run away from, as you so eloquently put it, "some of the worst fighters in the game."
I think you're making my point without knowing it. CA fell. There were lots of reasons, but to deny the military punishment that SA/ATUK/Xetic were dishing out is just ignorant. I know they had issues with sharing toys in their sandbox, but the pressure brought from the outside world was also a factor.
There are stll quite a few ppl in CA that I respect, regardless of what the leadership chose to do at that time. This thread is not going to change that. I just don't think you can go back and rewrite history. What's done is done. Let's just play.

At the end of the day, they're dead and XF/SE/FA aren't. Those're the facts.
P.S: Leno, I wouldn't say XF are the worst pvp'ers in the game. They have me now
