So, is that time of the year I get the DDoS hammer, as i promised, every time i was to get DDoS i would publish here, so let's get to the dough
Anyways, i got this interesting piece of Russian Love, according to the sender, the voice is none other than CSM delegate UAxDeath,
Already made a backup.

Thanks, forums almost done, we are publishing PL.com forum dumps which you guys will love, it's like a foreplay, for free, which could be the other reason we got DDoS, but that's just speculation and i know k.com duder won't go to that low levels, also, we are tapping the source, so no rules broken there.
I'll bring an update ASAP.

Being full of crap, and sharing on the internet, is reprehensible indeed. However DDoS is criminal. Interesting to see your modular morality on display. Of course this thread really needs to be somewhere else, does COAD have a back alley with empty dumpsters?

Hope evenews24 gets back up soon, i enjoy reading the news, sometimes there a bit onesided but still good none the less, when it comes to the pl forum leak thing i looked at the old leak from 2010 to be honest it was pretty boring, most of the spy/security stuff is all standard stuff anyone can learn or come up with pretty easily to gather intel, they did have some nice training guides and tips though, innovative fits as well but nothing you cant learn from their kb which is a good source for good fits anyways, so unless your at war with them another leak would be just as boring.

Criminal? Hell no. It is a heavenly intervention!! It is EN24 who has got no problem with publishing hacked information when it serves them for a purpose. If you then make deals with hackers is it only your own fault when the same kind screws you over. EN24 are no better than those who attack them now.

We were putting stuff up to 2010, then prepare 2011 stuff for our great opening day, we'll get back and hopefully learn a bit more from these attacks.

BTW about mistake in second letter of Zulu old nickname.
Nickname with this mistake was common among bittervet russian speaking players long before this moment(google show posts from 2007). I dunno maybe he`s done something horrible with capitals in past or nerfed some complexes in nullsec.

Recent articles were negative of the NC and Goons have on more than one occasion led such attacks in the past....

If you're blocking the problem from the target host, it'll still get flooded with all the requests meaning that blocking does nothing. If you cannot do it at the border of the network with dedicated hardware then don't do it.

The forums were just about ready to be opened up for business. Was just pre-filling areas with forum leaks of the past and getting the recently leaked stuff ready. The battle reports area was just getting finished with testing too.
From the logs attacks the first 7 ip's originated from Malaysia, Georgia, scotland, Venezuela, Thailand, and India. pretty spread out. Some sites block a lot of these countries right off the bat because there really isn't many eve players there if any at all.
And lol about the NC leadership crying to take down a website for morale reasons.
Try being better at eve instead, i hear its easier.

I'm not sure what your trying to do to mitigate the attacks, But i've personally hidden boxes behind gigenet(dot com) and had good results.
I've also had a bit of experience with FDC & ev1 - yes ev1 was picked up by TP a few years ago, But I was able to mitigate 300+mbit really easily (i suffered 13 seconds of downtime when the attack began) though I can offer no current experience with TP.
They are maybe a bit too expensive for you as solutions, but of course i'll leave that to you.
Good luck in dealing with the upset kids though.

Nonsense. I am not the sad panda who used it as an argument. My bits&bytes on my bank accounts are then real money. The bits&bytes on EN24 are however as real as our internet spaceships - not that I like seeing mine explode.
EN24 support RMT. They have written many articles about it and showed players how it works and where to find it. And on some other occasion did they list thousand of player names who supposedly traded ISKs for real money, only to admit later that this data was hacked and not actually trustworthy.
So what happens here is something I cannot condemn. It is a heavenly justice taking place. Like Greenpeace trespassing where they should not be trespassing.
I do make a difference though. Just because a website has no meaning to me would I not automatically find joy in seeing how it is getting attacked. EN24 however is trash, it is smacktalk that should have stayed in the sandbox, but someone had to take it further. If you want to compare a DDoS attack on EN24 with an DDoS attack on any other web site then be my guest.

When you bring back your poorly coded / paid for template of a website... :P, can you please get rid of the garbage overloaded java/fail ajax. Which is more then likely overloading your poor hosting companies you deal with. Shared hosting is no good :P And hey, why don't you throw up google ads on there? The intro to the topic is confusing, is this voice by UAXdeath have anything to do with the denial of service attacks. Who did the attacks, any suspects.
If that is a translation of the convo, I don't think a person being blunt with criticisms about ccp is really much news, read the many topics discussing nullsec nerf in assembly hall and other locations. The only major difference between this is that its in Russian and what would have been a privet conversation.
The chairman of CSM is also pretty vocal, maybe even more so about distance between ideas of certain ccp devs and players.

Players have DDoSed Vent and TS servers of alliances in the past. They hacked private forums and killboards, etc..
And all EN24 does is to turn it into news, often pulled out of thin air, and then used it to heat up the masses... This very thread is about a privately recorded conversation. Wtf are you guys just thinking?!

The players that are bickering about the quality of news on EN24 (or in earlier times Eve Tribune) need to understand one thing:
It is news and a place to stay up to date if you don't want to go through millions of postings be it on here or k***men (why does this get censored anyway?) or somewhere else. It is easily accessible and pre-chewed for you to understand. Is it always neutral? Most certainly not, it is after all a player driven news site and every reporter belongs to an alliance which they obviously favor.
I am pretty sure that there are many other players like me that simply don't have the time to weed through forums and want to get their daily eve medicine in a compact portion. That is what EN24 is good about. There was a skirmish? you got it. There was drama somewhere? You usually get it. IF there were more players that would send their side of the story instead of trashing the reporters side of view, I am pretty sure that we would get a wider view of the whole picture.
Oh and seeing secret stuff splurted on EN24 - since when are secrets in Eve secrets? If there is something everyone knows in this game, it is that you can't even trust your own mom to keep your secrets if she is playing Eve with you. That is what Eve does to you and why there is a neverending paranoia about any and everything.

You cannot know who won or lost - who started it, who ended it - unless you were there. Even if you were can it be difficult or impossible to know. If the reports are trash then you can also not trust them, often lacking part of the whole truth, which is why they are not worth reading. Login to ur domain panel > Goto Domains > Goto Ur contact information for your domain(s) > set as private not public
there no more of your information getting out. it's not that hard.

Distributed Denial of Service attack.
Personally I heard it was the NC HC that made him take it down so I don't know for sure. However it does not appear to be up.

I liked the site really, however I don't think it is a DDoS attack, no way it would run this long without ISP putting up blocks. Instead I think as rumored it was taken down. Cost could of been an issue, peer pressure, etc.

I can see it now. The site will come back up, that George whatshisface will proudly proclaim "we're back for good, we have new failsafe protocols in place!" and within 24 hours the site will be down again.
This has been about 3 times in a row, in recent weeks? As much as I like to read EN24 for the tears in the comments, this does make me lol on many levels.

Evenews24.com was a great concept and i really enjoyed reading news there.

EN24 support RMT. They have written many articles about it and showed players how it works and where to find it. And on some other occasion did they list thousand of player names who supposedly traded ISKs for real money, only to admit later that this data was hacked and not actually trustworthy.

I do make a difference though. Just because a website has no meaning to me would I not automatically find joy in seeing how it is getting attacked. EN24 however is trash, it is smacktalk that should have stayed in the sandbox, but someone had to take it further. If you want to compare a DDoS attack on EN24 with an DDoS attack on any other web site then be my guest.
