So far, about 10mins, of checking it out it seems fairly solid. No crashing, WASD is working sold for me. The double click to move to a spot isn't all that great, seems to always hang up on the sofa. Did undock and redock at Dodixie and lost the center holoscreen. And I'm getting horrible flicker from the lighting. I'll have to check if there are newer drivers for the Nvidia 9800GTX+'s. I did notice an odd bleed around the texture for the doorway I'd guess you'd call it between the hangar and the room. Was in the hangar looking in the room and noticed a bleed coming through on the left side, maybe the textures are not butting together right. I'll check on video drivers and prolly put in a few hours on the test server tomorrow.
I'm deleteing a charcter to do as the dev blog suggested with the making an Amarr. So far I must say it's looking really good despite lighting flicker I'm getting. Just need to put in a radio in the room, Some Nazareth's Hair of the Dog would make it really awesome.

Forgot to mention that on two of my charcters their facial hair was turning up white. Should be black or a dark brown.

So I updated the video drivers. Played around a bit more. Looking pretty good. Flicker is still there for lighting. Opening the PI or charcter recustomization stuff renders the CQ inoperative. If I undock the center holoscreen disapears when I redock. Can see where the textures for the walls butt up to each other when swinging the view around, get a bluish white line around the textures. Couldn't find the recustomizing thing to open that screen so did it the old way. I like what I see, even if it is still in a very raw form. I'll play with it more tomorrow. I'm sure with some more polishing it'll work quite smoothly.
Still think a radio would be awesome. Sit on the sofa and have an ice cold beer and listen to some Sabbath would be awesome.

lighting flicker is actually a problem with the Nvidia drivers. Remembered I ran into it in other games. Last fall Nvidia did something to their drivers that caused me mass problems in another game, all shader related. From what I've read people like to pass the buck on the issue...EVGA says it's a PS problem, Nvidia says it's programing, and programers say it's the drivers.
So the lighting thing is prolly on Nvidia's end with their drivers.

I have noted this as well. No movement or interaction seems to work in this circumstance. If you can undock it seemed to partially reset.

Was hoping
key commands that would allow me to move the camera left and right so I can look left and right as I may not be using the mouse for it.
While in the start up can I have a Key like the Tab key when pressed will light up the area I can interact with. And will cycle though Items I can interact with

Guess I've got a reason to upgrade my video cards if I still have the lighting issue upon release, been eyeing the Nvidia 460's for some time now. If only Nvidia could get their driver releases to work. They'll get a run of about 4-6 months then drop a hot steaming pile of a driver on ya. Unfortunatly I can't say the shader has worked right since about middle of last year, they changed something in their drivers and have yet to fix it. I do realize this would be considered in 'alpha' testing still, so seeing the issue doesn't surprize me much. Hopefully someone from Nvidia reads this thread.....FIX THE DRIVER FOR THE 9800GTX+'s.
I did create an Amaar as suggested in the dev blog....the initial tutorials look good. Remember this is coming from someone that ran thru the old ones....I kinda already know what I'm suppose to do so I have to force myself to play dumb. Moving around seems easy enuff, I did find the interaction point for the recustomizing, ended up walking around and found a spot that when I right clicked opened the pull down for it. I'd suggest making a texture that makes it stand out a bit more, just looked like a dark wall to me. I'll have to get to messing more with it tomorrow....preocupied today with an issue with my old Killer K1 NIC.
So the more I look at it, the CQ's look really good. To be brutally honest....I prolly won't change up how I interact while I'm docked. Can do stuff faster with the existing UI, but the CQ will make for some nice eye candy when I don't know what I want to do. Hopefully it's a good steping stone onto some serious awesomeness.
