Hey guys, not sure if I have this in the right thread or not, but here goes.
I have been looking for a gaming mouse to use just for eve. I need one with programmable buttons, so I can set it to where I can target, align, warp, use modules ect. all from the mouse. Please give any information you have that can help, and hopefully by the end of the weekend I will be in possession of a sweet mouse. Thanks in advance guys!

Check out the Razer Naga. I like it for any MMO I play due to the full set of programmable buttons on the side. It takes a bit to get used to but once you do you can cut out a number of keyboard commands.

Use to use the MX revolution as it came with the keyboard. Nice (wireless was so nice), but on occasion the bluetooth got interrupted or studdered. I got this on sale, and must say there is a difference in accuracy in fps games....mostly tell for sniping or long range shots such as in BFBC2. For the price and DPI can't beat. It also has enough angle and curvature to reduce wrist fatigue etc...though not as much as the MX did.

Got a naga here and love it - as well as the extra buttons its also a really nice mouse - much more responsive and nicer to use than the Logitech MX-518(iirc the number) it replaced.

Been using MS 518 mouse for years and I STILL recommend it to anyone.
Bought up Razer Naga because extra buttons is good, plus you can macro on it or set multiple of inputs in one of buttons, like F1 to F8 to a single click on the mouse, not only that, you can "record" the inputs by its time length and buttons pressed. I never used any sort of macros before until now, but its useful.
Smaller than 518 and lighter. It does take time to get used to, but its really nice. Those with big hands, you might want to reconsider from getting it. ----------------------------------- Peace through power! |

I use the Cyborg R.A.T. 7
Adjustable DPI up to 2000dpi, three hot-toggle profile modes, thumb wheel, and a not useful in eve 'sniper button' that lowers the dpi while the button is held. Of course you can edit any of the buttons, so my eve profile's sniper button deploys drones and tells them to attack. Thumb wheel cycles targeted enemies. ==================== ~/~ Sultan of Buruni |

I use a regular microsoft optical mouse.
There's no such thing as overkill, only degrees of effectiveness. |

Ive used a microsoft sidewinder for the past 2 1/2 years and its a pretty good mouse, combined with a steel series mouse mat its pretty damn precise.
All I can really recommend is avoid wireless mouses

Saitek GM-3200. It has adjustable weights so you get a rate of glide that is right for you. It has a speed adjuster that though I have not used in games has been useful in photo editing when zooming right in at a pixel level where you need fine control.

Takes a little getting used to, but once you do it's very nice.
Edit: Just had to say I do now want that Cyborg R.A.T. 7 mouse now.

Been using my G5 mouse for 5 or 6 years now I think (very full time use too), seriously THE best mouse I have ever used, only one that I don't get pain in my hand after using for an entire day also.. Wish they still sold them...

I use some semi-cheap wired logitech optical I picked up years ago, after I broke a generic MS optical in a fit of rage at bad game design. It's held up ever since. I don't see much need to change it. Especially since the gel-ad ergonomic mousepad now takes the brunt of my anger.

+1. The adjustable ergonomics are pretty slick too.
