my TQ is repeating last 5 seconds of the start up yet it shows around 3000 pple logged on.... any others having this?

Is it possible to change the re boot time now to US Prime Time?
For me Beein Euro Time Zone Aka Norway the re boot hapens every day in our prime time !
So please share the exprience so the US sone also gets a piece of the horrible shut down uber action every day.

I think it is something to do with backbone providers.
Currently in South Africa and have 2 seperate accounts. One over the SAT3 backbone and one over Seacom.
Seacom account causes loop. SAT3 account logs in fine

Its not. It IS to do with their crappy FCP nonsense though - which is presenting us the same ****ing login server each time.
We're screwed on them removing FCP though as they bought the company
There have been SO many routing issues in the last month that nothing else fits the bill - its crappy FCP.

seems to me it is in a loop, today there was another server reboot before normal downtime.
I would suggest (like everyone else) to reboot the server and see what happens.

They didnt figure out a fix to get online, its just some people were allowed preferential treatment and had no problem logging on immediately after downtime, while all of us get to wait for ccp to "work on it" keep up the hard work ccp.

Confirming what the other guy said.. Rebooting my modem/router fixed it for me.

I have had this problem of the continuous count down all morning.. I even opened a petition. I noticed the same thing happened 90 days ago. Its a bit frustrating because i only rejoined eve yesterday!

And, you can't fix a corrupt database with a reboot people.

Same problem here. Binned my EVE preferences folder & re-booted but still the same message. CCP are quick enough to take our subscriptions but painfully slow at fixing issues or providing meaningful status updates. When can we expect the server to be available?

Hello everyone,
The issue has been resolved and everyone should be able to log into the game now (please note that you might have to restart your client first).
The problem was that one of the proxy servers (that handle incoming connections) did not start up correctly after todayĘs downtime. We are currently looking into why it has happened and would like to thank all of you for your patience and understanding.

An issue with one of the proxy servers, actually.

i would like to let you know i was neither patient nor am i understanding why you would allow the server to run for nearly and hour knowing full well from the minute after downtime that people could not log on. How are people supposed to react to whats going on when 1/2 the eve population cant log on, it should have been shut down the minute you realized people werent able to log on. you failed, you need to have some better response in the future cuz that response was complete bull poop. thanks for wasting an hour of my time on easter waiting for your Proxy login server to function correctly. be smarter next time, be quicker. dont fail again.

They didnt know right after downtime you nugget. They had to investigate to find the problem. Read!

now other ppl have had an hour extra for doing whatever, blowing up poses without defence, running sleeper opses while you where unable to log in... ppl lost isk because of the unfair adventage for ppl who could log in...

they knew that 1/2 the eve population was unable to log on. they did not have to investigate that much, they were made aware of the issue via this massive thread... so for them to spend an hour investigating while denying half the population to not participate in the ongoing events is not the way it should have been handled. it needed to be shut down, figured out then restarted once they solved the problem.

srsly 90% of 10/10s are scanned and run in the first hour of logging on, do you know how many people missed that. alliances killed towers, possibly with people unable to log in and defend them while knowing full well that they are getting shot. TCUs and SBUs finished anchoring and fleets were unable to assemble to stop them. you failed to provide equal treatment and a level playing field for people and it shouldnt happen again. thats all im saying, at least learn from this mistake.

it's not about that hour, is about that some players got an unfair adventage over other players because of an error of ccp.
If no one can log in, well, to bad but at least EVEYONE loses that hour

Even tho the loop thingy has gone there is still somthing wrong... I keep getting randomly DCed and when fitting mods onto a ship it is taking like 5 mins to fit 1 mod. Whats wrong with the best game in the world?

those like me were very unhappy about not being able to log on after maintenance. i only paid and started playing today... imagine the impression it makes on me when on the first day, a bug prevents me from logging in to a game i have paid for.
forgive those of us who were unhappy because we were upset at expecting a somewhat higher level of competency and service for a PAID FOR service.
