Well Robotech is a mish mash for 3 different anime series. First one is SDF Macross but in all fairness there isn't much difference other than a few name changes and different meaning of Protoculture. I recommend you watch the original SDF Macross then you can go on to watch all the other Macross stuff. Macross DYRL is bloody brilliant you can find it all online to watch just google it. Plus the music is better in the original than Robotech. I really like the Macross music, I got a bunch of Fire Bomber songs and OSTs of SDF Macross and Frontier.

Is that just the first series or all the three that are encompassed by the Robotech remake ?
This wont contain series 2 and 3 of Robotech, since those were 2 seperate anime's, Mospeada and Southern Cross. That box set is just the original Japanese first Macross series. (SDF Macross) You can buy all the Robotech stuff off itunes, as well as Macross II and Macross Plus.

Harmony Gold never bought the designs to the Mechs and Vehicles. Instead, they bought the original animation while Fasa bought the actual designs. But then Harmony Gold came in and screwed everything up.
What is with the stupid 2-minute cooldown? And why do the settings never save themselves? |

I had personally missed macross entirely until i came across Frontier purely by accident a couple months ago and loved it right from the start.
Currently working my way through all the older series :) |
