The thing about having an empire is you need to be able to project your strength a long way from home - that's why having the strongest navy is the most important thing (or in the case of the US, having a large number of aircraft carriers and bombers that can fly around the world and cost 2 billion isk each).

They made London ú300 million in tourism alone last year which would not be made if they were not there because people go to see them not some government minister.

Then I started to watch it and got suckered in... to be honest it looked like a brilliant affair. I especially loved the Battle of Britain fly past. Sounded ****ing awesome in surround sound.
