Ever since the patch with the free re customizations, changing something on my character takes forever. Usually it would take a second or so, now it¦s more like 20 seconds or more. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Running it on a ATI 4770 if that¦s any use.

well it takes a almost a full 3 minutes for the client to even load now with the newer patches, So I just start the client go do something then come back load the char, and come back in a couple minutes.

Yes, same problem here, on a 4850. Was smooth and fast before the patch that added the recustomisation, now it's almost unworkable. Have tried various character creator setting combinations but nothing has any effect.

I have that as well, but it seems to be an unrelated issue. My partner's client does this too but he doesn't have the character creator problem.

Apparently not many others seem to have this problem.
Though it might not affect my gameplay that much, it has put me off redoing my portrait and even creating a new character.

Having eve on two stripped OCZ Vertex SSDs, I can confirm there has been slowness in launching the client. An added 10-20 seconds from the past. Loading in game files has remained the same.
Loading stuff in the character editor has always been unusually slow for being on such a fast drive.
Running with a E8500 (3.60) in a P45 Platinum, 4870x2, and 4GB of Dominator memory.

I can confirm that the starting of the client takes alot longer now. Its quite annoying when you have to manage multiple accounts.

Same. I just returned to the game after being sent an email letting me play for 5 days and whenever I try to make changes like adding scars, tattoos etc, the loader circle just sits there forever spinning around and around. Also if I try and change his pants, nothing changes. Would someone from CCP please respond and fix this? Players would like to be able to make changes and additions to their characters thanks without sitting here for hours waiting for it to respond.

CCP Stillman wrote something about this in general discussions:

Originally by: Spurty I was curious about this too.
If you turn on the logging server you can see it's actually loading a ton of things. Could do with some feed back to the users. It's not stalling, just feels like it.
Spurty is right. The client does load a lot of things on load of things on startup, which means it takes a bit of time for the actual window to present itself to you.
But at the same time, those of you who's noticed that the client recently has taken a bit longer to load are right as well. It will be fixed in the next major patch.

I dont know if this will help others with this problem, but nVidia have just released the latest drivers in April of this year. I have a nVidia 9600 GT and as soon as I updated to the latest drivers, I have no more issue with the character screen being buggy, slow or non responsive. Give it a try and see if it works for you guys.

I appreciate the thought, but I doubt it'd do me and my ATI card much good ;)
