Once again, Federation Day is approaching, a celebration of the achievements of our interplanetary democracy and enjoyment of our identity and freedom as individuals.
Last time we gathered, our minds and spirit were filled with the resolution to stand and fight, to defend ourselves, to defend against the Sansha incursions, to defend against the State protectorate, to not lose hope against the odds. For the past year capsuleers, citizens and armed forces have proven we have the strength to stand, we were able to keep the line and fight back, most importantly, we still are a free democracy.
As such, this year events will be all about us.
This June 18th, a series of events will take place in Aunia, within orbit of the Federation Navy Station to celebrate the festivities.
FEDEF MVP PILOT
By popular choice, from all pilots within the Federal Defence Union, the single most brave, crazy and just plain lucky pilot will be chosen. The elected capsuleer will receive a Federation Navy Comet as prize. To nominate or vote for a pilot of your choice, just send a message to Alain Colcer with full name and link of your candidate. Candidates must be members of the Federation militia (either as direct members of the Federal Defence Union, or a corporation signed with the Gallente Federation).
SHIP PARADE - FEDERATION PRIDE
No matter if you work for Quafe hauling cargo, Astral Mining surveying the asteroids or Federation Navy killing Serpentis. If you are one of those pilots who own any of these fine ships:
- Federation Navy Comet
- Federation Navy Exequror
- Federation Navy Vexor
- Federation Navy Dominix
- Federation Navy Megathron
You are invited to join the Ship parade to be held in Aunia and display the beautiful might of Federation ship design. Disclaimer: no fleet-up requirements needed.
HOTRODS EVENT - INTERCEPTOR SPRINT RACING
The sub-light racing competition to prove who is the fastest interceptor pilot in the Federation. A track made with 4 check points will be built 400km across the space outside Aunia Fed Navy Station. The winner will be the first pilot to reach the finish line and will receive a Federation Navy Comet as prize, 2nd and 3rd place will receive 25mill and 20mill ISK respectively. Entry fee will be 50.000 ISK, with up to 50 participants.
I hope to see you all on June 18th for another year full of surprises.
((OOC: Quantum Cats Syndicate pilot Alain Colcer will be performing as Host of these events. If you have questions or desire more information please send an evemail directly with your inquiries.

Just heard about this... Sounds like the place to be on 18.06. What are the conditions for that interceptor race, by the way? Taranis and Ares hulls only or can you enter with a foreign model?

I nominate EL-G's First Captain, Shaalira D'arc, as the Federal Defence Union's MVP. Well-known amongst our militia, pilot D'arc has earned a kill record that rivals the best of us in an extremely short space of time. I handed her the affectionate title of "Tacklegirl", for her reputation as being an adept interceptor pilot, proving invaluable to the fleets that can be seen heading into the warzone. ------------ Lum Gen Seriphyn Inhonores FDU Commanding Officer, Eleutherian Guard |

Oh, that reminds me. I nominate Val Erian as the Federal Defence Union's MVP. I am unaware of that man taking a single break from his tireless work liberating and subsequently defending Federal territory, despite the fact that there's no-one more deserving of one. If I had to venture a guess, I would imagine he'll be honouring the celebrations by continuing to defend us from the State Protectorate.

Easy. Plenty of other capsuleers have dedicated their time, body and blood to the cause you have outlined. If you were more consistent in your employment within the Federal Defence Union, you would know their names. Even you played a part in the liberations of north Placid during early 112. ------------ Lum Gen Seriphyn Inhonores FDU Commanding Officer, Eleutherian Guard |

Not, in my opinion, as much as Val Erian. But that's only my opinion.

If you were less willing to criticise my corporation's choices, perhaps I'd be more willing to listen to you.

Will there be exhibitions of the more risque entertainment our freedom has produced? From what I've heard, last year's Federation Day was more like something the Ammarians would put on.
If my schedule holds, I'll be part of the Federal Progressive Party's delegation. Hope to see a lot there!

The general populace may engage in risque and questionable behaviour, but all those with respectable standing in the Federation, be it a naval officer or politician, should always set a high moral standard, treating their freedoms with respect and dignity.

CONCORD will provide their usual level of protection, which of course for us capsuleers one could argue is not really enough, so i suggest you fit your ships for maximum ability to withstand damage and survive.

Mademoiselle, I am sure if such beautiful ladies as you will be present there will be no shortage of volunteers for a Mister Federation contest, myself included although I am not yet sure if my work will allow me freedom to travel to event.
That said, if I can not make it I hope someone will pass on to our brave men of the federation my sincere thanks and that as soon as I have expanded the Rangers to a usefull size I hope to help them in their tireless vigil.
