Hi all
I have and always have had an issue with the graphical alignment of my ships, and other peoples, in space - I'll describe a couple of scenarios.
In warp I should be pointing at the celestial/bookmark I'm warping to, instead my ship moves about mid-warp so that its flying sideways or even backwards, rather quickly as well - a lot quicker than the ship could ever switch alignment normally.
Orbiting a gate with a train of 8 drakes following me, my ship again will wobble as described above, interestingly all the ships I can see in space i.e. the 8 drakes, wobble in the exact same directions at the same time as my ship.
This wobble/alignment does not affect what is actually happening with the alignment of my ship i.e. I still orbit what i should be orbiting, enter warp when I should or fly in a straight line - it appears to purely be a display issue.
This issue happens on all 3 clients that I use, main client with high graphics settings, alt char client with minimum graphics settings and my test server client.
Possibly unrelated, but in the character creator when rotating the head it will jerk round 90ish degrees while rotating and flick back, also in the captains quarters test my toon wouldnt respond properly to WASD, moving in seemingly random directions. What I'm interested in is what troubleshooting/fixes I can try?
So far I have downloaded fresh clients and updated graphics drivers to no avail - if anyone has any clues as to what could be causing this or what troubleshooting steps I can perform next it would be appreciated.

Edited by: Ay Liz on 03/05/2011 14:52:17 Well, i will try to explain this.
If you approach a gate you will notice your overview will say you are 0m away from it even though you don't even touch it. This is true for all directions from which you approach it. Think of it as an invisible bubble around the gate.
Now if you orbit this gate, you will not orbit the center of the gate but that imaginary 0m-bubble that surrounds the gate. Sometimes that bubble is not perfectly round but more like an oval and it may have spikes or hills. If you orbit and pass such a spike or hill your ship will "wobble" around it as it tries to keep the orbit distance.
It is a serverside thing and affects everyone that happens to pass the same spot during orbit.

I think the best bet will be for me to get a video on youtube and link to it - will probably make my explanation clearer!

Have you tried flying sober?
It may fix the issue.

Sober?? Noooo - I'm in Scotland, I cant remember the last time I done anything sober!
Good description tho' - describing it as flying drunk would have better illustrated the issue than my long winded effort.
Anyone got any hints then or is the best bet to bug report it?
