There are basically 2 BS that i would trust in a C3, and for different uses/reasons.
Abaddon: Able to field a tank capable of solo'ing any C3 anomaly, but in doing so you gimp your DPS to that equal to a drake ( 200-300 tops ) With the only benefit really being that you donts consume ammo. You will have a harder time killing frigates which will slow you down, but ultimately it's a ship i've seen and used with great success.
Dominix: Yes, a Domi, and Yes, drones are still it's main and only DPS. With the setup i used it fields around 450 DPs omni tank, enough to do the easier sites in a C3 (fortification and oruze) but it would become a smoldering wreck in the others or any mag/radar.
It does, however, sport around 380-460 DPS depending on drones out, and has a much stronger effective range than the abbaddon, as you never have to move it, just swap drones for range. ( sentries) You can also fit it with tractor/salvager to speed up the cleanup proccess, though i normally would only clear the frigs and cruisers, and come back with a dedicated salvager for the BS.

Rough stats: ( dont have EFT on this computer)
450 DPS omni tank
380-460 DPS from curator/gardes
cap stable 29% ( if i remember right, i know it's cap stable for me if not running RR and local tank same time)
For those who say your drones will die, learn to use them properly. Any time they get aggro, recall and redploy, RR if needed. You lose a few seconds of DPS, but it works. just requires alot of attention.
Also of note is that if your tank starts to fail, letting your drones take the heat can buy you some time, as when they sleepers are shooting yoru drones, they are NOT shooting YOU. So you can rebuild buffer/cap. with RR a T2 sentry can actually survive quite a while against a single BS spawn ( all their is in a fortification)
Lastly, know that while this is capable, a Rattlesnake is much better. Much bigger tank, slightly higher DPs thanks to missiles, and the added aggro from your missiles can keep the sleepers off your drones for a while. ( sleeper AI) You can build an effective sleeper rattler for about 600 mil.
