It would be very nice to hear at least something from CCP regarding lost ships during these "breaks". Even if it's just "We'll deal with every petition in due time".
Lost a Tempest due to the server crash(?) last night and lots of fittings. With the insurance I could get another one, but that would drain all my hard-earned isk that was reserved for something else.
I guess the amount of petitions is quite huge, so I'll wait patiently and fly my frigging shuttle around a veldspar roid then...

Well all I can say is there's a loong road to go.
Serverside needs alotta lovin in the sync dept too.
Tonight was pretty awful I gave up trying to play.
Hope you guys get it stomped on.

Here is a description of a problem I posted in the Bug Reporting section. Is anyone else having the same problem and has anyone found a solution??

This has never happened until this Friday, 11 Feb. '05 (I have not logged in on Thursday, so I don't know if the situation started then, but everything was alright on Wednesday).
I get this screen http://myeve.eve-online.com/screenshots/default.asp?screenID=7515 with an error dialog titled "CONNECTION LOST" with the following text "The transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not successful." (after which I get dropped to the log in screen) when I do the following: jump, dock, activate ship module, train a skill, put up a market order, use any in-station service, etc.
Some of these actions cause a server disconnect every time, some less often, but more then 50% of the time.
This, off course, makes the game completely unplayable.
In every other respect my computer and all software on it behave as before.
Please advise.
Dell Dim8250, 2.4 P4, 1GIG RAM, ATI Rad9800 Pro, Cat 4.12, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz soun card (never had any problem with this).

Just an update on my problems: since downtime I can't log in most of the time(where as untill downtime at least I was able to log in on the first try everytime). The login bar gets stuck after going through all the "get this" and "get that" that it usualy does.
Any advise on a workaround would be greatly appreciated.
(I have tried deleting the cache: no joy. Also, all my other internet enabled software works as before, absolutely no problems)

Raz, maybe your char is stuck? I can get on fine now and everything seems to work fine except for the occational ctd and my missing Tempest from 3 days ago. Any idea about the response times to petitions or is it still the 3-4 business days? I'd hate to fly around in my frigate as it really is no use in lvl 4 missions

Naah, not stuck. I was able to log on and see all my stuff yesterday, and once after many tries today. So it's some kind of server problem.
Stuck petitions (and labled as such) may be pretty quick, sinse they seem to be easy to resolve for the devs.

i think these guys still have a superior game to any other on the net in this category if anyone can find a game that is bettr please tell us about it.
That said i guess with the staff they have and the state of internet development overall - it will take much time to get a truely bug free game but it seems to be working ok - dont forget insurance just in case.

Indeed in many repsects it is in some it's not.
Personally I woulda let AI control the Z Plane, it makes for a far easier control method and allows for many additional features such as shield facings etc, aka SFC.
