Oh come on now, what you're saying is that they would do iteration. Lets stay realistic shall we. It'll be released and either the laserbeam is horrendously overpowered or the shark model is messed up like a Catalyst, it will stay that way for 2 years and then they might just fix one while messing up the other.

I think it's the ship hull that won the competition, changed into a gimped useless gimmick ship.
But I hope it's a fedo mini pet you can have in your captains quarters (or perhaps a server super hamster if you don't like giant stinking snails as pets)

Ideas:
1) CCP and EVE tattoos are added to the the character creator.
* Alternately, the CCP tattoo is automatically applied to every avatar's forehead.
2) We get the ship model that won the art contest. However, the ship is only a model that sits on a desk in our captain's quarters thus taking the gimmick ship to a new low.
3) Ship skins are in. Everyone undocks with "Happy Birthday Eve" in pulsing neon lights stenciled on their ships.
4) Birthday cake ammo and birthday cake launchers are added.
* The cake is a lie. The launchers however are not and use the new turret/launcher graphics.
5) Hybrid stats are tweaked.
6) In order to fulfill CCP's "Eve needs more competition" paradigm (aka fighting,) Sansha completes a hostile takeover of all NPC corporations in Eve. All NPC corps then war-dec all player corps.
7) The Jovians put their ship BPOs on the market to raise money to build a Jovian Super-Titan Moon Base and Casino.
My isk is on number 2.

better gift ideas than a collector's item novelty ship of little game practical value:
skill points (or spell points or whatever lol... all the same thing)
faction modules - someothing doesn't need to be unique to be a anniversary gift...give me a dominiation warp disrupter or invulnerablity field or something and i'd feel like i'd gotten something.
Lets say a friend brought you a gift... I'd appreciate a fine bottle of wine (well i don't drink anymore but i could pour it for guests) over a Royay-wedding Memorial Plate any day. The wine would be used and enjoyed and the memorialbia plate would be a piece of schlock hanging around the house.

so far I've got a zephyr, a primae, and some sort of bug-spaceship hybrid. I can only assume the gift will be an internet spaceship, and my guess is it will be far less srsbsns than say a drake or hurricane.
I use the primae but only after the changed it, for the record.
