On my main ( Amarr), I have BAD (-3.4) faction standing with Mimnatar due to grinding L4 mission agents.
I want to fix that so I was going to grind Minmatar level 1 missions in hi-sec, then I had a thought?
Could I join a Minmatar Faction Warfare corp and do FW plexes and missions to regain Minmatar faction standing?
I assume Amar pilots can join Minmatar Faction Warfare if their standing is good..
and I assume joining a Minmatar FW corp will "spread" my bad standing out and allow me to enter stations/do FW missions?
Am I on the right track?
Yes, I did gogle tons of FW and standing related posts and didn't find anything that addressed my concerns.

I think your problem will be having good enough standings to join the Min Militia to begin with. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

No. Used that tactic a few years back with sucess. Tryed again earl this year. Didn't work so I petitioned. Was told i could not use this feature to increase my standings. Went -6 to postive 3 with the fdu with no increase of faction standings. Should have seen 3 increases. |

Yes you can join and do all the fun things as long as uyour corp has high enough standings to absorb your negative. You'll probably have more luck in warfare & tactics. |

Why not run the sister's of eve epic arc, siding with minmatar at the end to help give you some improved standings? |

Thanks for your input!
yeppers, in two months I can run Sister's of Eve arc again, and this time I understand to apply rep to faction I want to fix!
WRT joining a Minmatar FW corp, it sounds like I can but there is some question wrt my personal standing prohibiting me from joining?
I know on this alt, I joined a FW corp and wasnt questioned about my standing.
I hope new corp wont ask, but if the "system" doesnt' allow me to join, then that's another issue.
If I understand correctly, your Corp can join FW and all its members join FW as well, regardless of their factfacion standing?
Now I also read that a corp will get a notice if their faction standing drops below a certain point?
I guess I will just try to join a corp, fly a newb ship to Minmatar FW space/station and see if there is a problem.
If not, then start running FW missions and plexes.

If you can join a Minmatar corporation and not effect their standings enough to make them drop out then PLEX/Mission for standings. Every base 1.0 (up to 9.0) in a Militia Corp standing gives you a promotion and faction standings.

The plex/mission thing only works if you are already postive to that faction.
Like I was trying to say in the other post. Sorry was posting from a phone.
My character was something like -6.0 FDU and -9.0Gallente. I plexed up to +3.0 FDU but stayed at -9.0. I petitioned and was told by GM I could not use that function to fix my standings.
A few years before I switched from Gallente to Amarr using that method. Somewhere along the line the mechanics changed. This was all before the recent change to FW mechanics.
This time I used a combination of dipo 5, lots of low sec level 1's and data agent tags.
OP's standings are not that bad data agents should put you to about where you need to go. |

That average used to have to be above +0.5. I believe it's now 0.0. Again your standings are not that bad a medium size corp should have no problem absorbing you. FW counts unmodified standing, so dipo won't help you there. But Dipo will help you get access to high sec missions to improve your standings.
Thank you all for your comments!

You can "buy up" faction standings with vanilla NPC tags to some degree.
Additionally there are NPC standings services available on in the sell forums... tread carefully with them though because some are scams.
