Hello there!
First off i would like to say thank you for stopping by and showing interested in what will be our official recruitment post 
You are most likely expecting to find a nice little list containing something like "We do a bunch of stuff and we are looking for players of this and this kind". Well, I am sorry to disappoint you... the following post will indeed contain some basic information regarding the corp, but you will have to read a bunch of stuff you don't care about before you get to that part 
Our corp is over 5 years old, sort of on the middle of the tree when it comes to members. As most corps we do have our share of alts, but we do our best to make sure inactive members are removed from the corp on a regular basis.
We do have a forum, but unless your a member it wont do you any good - sorry about that. We are not a part of some large and important 0.0 alliance and feel that everyone is a spy that is trying to get to our personal forum drama so it can be posted left and right... we simply just like having some privacy ;) But if you are interested in a membership in Phoibe you should be warned that we require our members to read the forums and stay up to date. After all, if you have time to log in and do a mission, or check on your industry jobs, or see if a fleet is forming then you have the time to spend 2 minutes on reading a forum!
The reason the forums are so important is because we have members in all timezones, and we simply don't have any other way to efficiently discuss corp changes, improvements or yell at each other. Unless you count spamming corp mail that is but I'm sure many of you know how annoying it is when you get 5-6 corp/alliance mails every single day!
That should have answered a few of your first basic questions.
I wont lie, most of us are older, angry people who can't wait until they can retire and scream at kids that dare to even look at their lawn. In other words,we have families, school, work and a social life. These things are first priority for our members and we have learned to function with this. But this also means that we aren't big on pre-scheduled operations. Do they happen? Sure once in a great while, but we do prefer that members try to create their own operations and just drag people that are online with them to do whatever.
This however is a playstyle that some don't like, and many think that its directors/CEO's "job" to make sure that you have something something to do. I can say right away that if you have this mindset, you will not be interested in joining this corp.
Now, keep in mind that just because we have an older playerbase, it doesn't mean that this is the kind of corp that you would want your 6 year old daughter to read the corp chat. An online game is a way for people to get away from the stress of real life, to lay back, get drunk and mess around. This means that the language can be offensive,with plenty of swearing,and an unlimited amount of "dirty" jokes and comments.We show respect for each other, but its not a church

If you don't understand what kind of personality we look for by now, I doubt you will be a good fit.
But if you do understand what we are looking for you might worry "But i only have ***** SP! They would never accept me!" Phoibe does not care about your SP, how many fancy ships you fly or your KB record (Okay, okay - if you have a bad habit of constantly loosing ships and don't learn from your mistakes we might have something to talk about).
Phoibe will accept new players, and because of our widely spread playerbase and interests you can get most of your questions answered if you just dare to ask them. We would be happy to help
The only thing we do not accept is piracy. Sorry its just how it is. This also covers actions such as ninja salvaging, can flipping, baiting, scamming and so on.
If you are interested in having a chat with us, you can convo us at any time, or you can just join our public channel "Phoibe".
Be patient with us though - sometimes everything happens at once and a director wont immediately be available to give you the attention you need. Keep poking us and eventually we will have time to answer all your questions, and get to know you.
