Now that most players have used the new portrait system and got their new faces on, I was wondering if you were thinking of having an art contest where they send in their character's portraits with a chance to win prizes based on certain categories like most intimitating, cutest, sexiest, butt ugly, Most Charismatic, bad hair day, etc. It might be a good way for players to earn recognition for their handy work and get players to do their portraits who haven't done so. (One character portrait per account so as not to bombard you.) I have seen some truly great work by players that took a lot of time and effort in doing their portraits and it was just a thought.

The whole idea of beauty contests is handicapped by the fact that people may change the portrait at any time, for good and for bad.
FAI, some artworks may be destroyed out of boredom... You should had seen Anne Arqui's older avatar, and how poor is her current one compared to it. 
I personally keep a photobook with my portraits in 512 x 512, but, how many people does?

I'm so sorry, I know there was a few people that really liked it. But well it just wasn't me, and this isn't either, I just don't like being Vherokior "new style" and I still can't get used to it.

Yep, this one is my sixth avatar and I just begin to feel it like my own. OTOH I have an alt who is an Achura and she used to be blue eyed with black hair, and now can't get to make her like that. Now she's a nice green eyed redhead, with a weird Asian name...

I was happy with my untatted portrait with the last system so I stuck with what I did then. That being said I do not invivison my mug winning any competiton and do not really care for an official interstellar beauty contest, so meh.

On the facecard game under "Ethnicities" you'll find Amarr females are considered the ugliest.
Vherokior females are the creepiest, unfriendliest, and least trustworthy.

Sounds good OP. I reckon that CCP could capitalise on the success of the character creator by adding a function in-game so people can just be flying around and +1 or -1 avatars as they fly around and encounter them. Then CCP has an ongoing top 10 for avatars, like "Most wanted" or something. The contests you suggest will come and go, but the character options will probably be an ongoing feature of Eve forever now, so a more formal thing might be good. If you make it into the top 100 you could temporarily get an awesome frigate skin or an announcement when you leave and enter systems, I dont know...something
