Hi.
I have a suggestion. There should be another way to get Skillpoints faster.
For Example: buying Skillpoints. 1 skillpoint for 100 Isk.
That is one why there is more. Like getting unspent skillpoints for doing missions.
I would realy like some more ideas on this.

One of, if not the greatest thing about EVE is that there is no "XP grind".
Instead of having to play the game to advance, you can play the game for the game itself.

I agree, but the balance of the game should not be destroyed. Read my thread about a 3rd choice in Buddy Program

Supported, if it cost far more isk than you stated. If implemented, this will be a huge isk sink, more than people can be rationally expected to pay for high SP toon nowdays. Isk will be worth something again.

Edited by: Reicine Ceer on 11/05/2011 21:03:46 I expect that, if CCP implemented this idea, you would want it to be followed up with a level system (capped of course - we cant have players being better than other players), and a requirement for new players to kill 5 boars and take their pelts to agents so that they can be directed to the next area, where 10 boars will be waiting for them.
Oh, and gold coins.
And epic mounts.
And expansions you have to pay for.
And a subtle change from 'EVE Online' to 'World of WarEVE'.

I would be interested to know how long you have been playing the game!

Please, please, please, please! Stop playing Eve and subscribe to World of Warcraft.
Come back in 5 years or so when you have an attention span and the ability to truly appreciate EVE, until then sod off. We dont want you.
(Though keep your account active, CCP could always do with the cash :D)

Earning skillpoints is already possible in game.
Pay for your sub. Set skill training. Wait. Rinse and repeat. Depending on your atts you'll be pulling in a whopping 2000+ SP every single hour.
In all seriousness, though, since you're new...
EVE is not an immediate gratification game: it's a patient pursuit of steady growth. Everyone started at the same place (albeit we had to train the damned learning skills for the sheer enjoyment of it) and the effects of micro transactions for SP would kill this game. See the other thread on buying SP in this forum for why.

Because in spite of the doomsayers' insistence to the contrary, new players keep coming in, expecting this game to be like all other MMOs out there. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Fortunately, the perfect game already exists for them, so there's no need to turn EVE into ità ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

IF there where to be missions that gives SP. then there should be a limit to how many missions you can do per day or per month.
the missions could be to kill someone or mine something or something else.
there could be Level's just like other missions. L5 gives more than L1, of course, and there is a reward in those missions. like LP or instead of LP on the skillpoint missions.
Please tell me your thoughts.

So what about people who don't run missions....?
Industrialists Wormholers Miners Explorers 0.0 dwellers Corp and Alliance leaders Scammers Station traders Mercs Ninja Salvagers
Let me guess, your whole selfish idea is based on the fact that YOU want more skillpoints and YOU run missions. What you failed to think about was the numerous other ways that people choose to play Eve.
If you want to grind missions all day to level up there are many many other MMOs that work on this format. The current skill system of Eve is one of it's most unique features in the MMO marketplace!

Totlly agree . I dont want to spend my days on eve skill grinding on this game . Most mmos have a limit to what you can do skill wise . This is something that is not in eve . There is always new skills and new items to train for . It would be a never ending skill grinding fest and people would not be able to enjoy the the game .
its a big fat NO from me

50000 Skillpoints for 1 Million ISK You can only purchase 200000 Skill Points in within a single 72-hour period Great ISK Sink, doesn't destroy balance People can play the game for what it is, but still gain skillpoints faster ____________ ___473735___ ^^My Signature is Better than Yours^^ |

As much as it irks me that I had to let my accounts suspend (financial issues) and loose sp for that time (I would probably have 10mil more sp on each of my chars), I would still not like to see this implemented.
If you want to grind there is always GW or WoW. The EVE skill system is unique and fine the way it is.
(If the devs want they can give me the SP I am behind. ^_^ hehe) <<- Just a joke, for those with no sense of humour. My Signature is too large... O_o |

Eve has a huge amount of isk grind atm, all pve content, to be exact. Isk is then used to buy high SP characters, so much that the notion that SP = isk is already the norm. Any SP grind is no different than isk grind. I don't see a problem. http://gemblog.nl/skill/

Because those characters have been skilled through time, not isk, and are finite in number.
If you want a high SP character and want a grinding mechanism then grind away for ISK all day and then buy a character in the bazaar. I sell characters every 2-3 years at the bazaar. For some of us, its our niche in the game.
Problem solved.
