Using thanatos for anomalyes. Looks like 1 cap rep is pretty enough most of a time. So there is no need to fill med slots by cap rechangers.
Drone modules ignore fighters.
So i ended with Sensor booster + 100MN MWD for GTFO. 2 slots are empty now. What to fill?

ECM burst and multispectral ECM. Also put a load of ECM drones in the hold.
Did I mention ECM? There is no GTFO in a carrier without lots of ECM.

If you don't want to GTFO, and have friends who can come to your aid quickly, then fit cap rechargers. Totally over-cap the ship (twice what you think you will need).
When people gank carriers they are expecting capital reps and perhaps triage, so will each carry a heavy neut or two.
Once you are out of cap, your carrier will become a wreck in very short order.
Fit a smartbomb in one of the high slots. That way you can waste the swarm of drones that will surround you like bees round a honey pot when you do get ganked.
You will get ganked. They will scram you, bump you and attack your fighters while pinning you with neuts. Give yourself a chance.

once again: i have 100MN MWD for GTFO. And i think i will have enough support in case of small gang. So i don't plan to have long defensive fight.
On the other hand thanny isn't expensive enough to really bother with "give yourself a chance to survive". This is more a toy for lazy ratting. So more SBs looks reasonable.
But... Maybe target painters? Do it work with drones?

Ah yes. You'll be just fine then. Forget about any of that other stuff.

Confirming that 166m/s is enough to "GTFO".

In my experience, people are so desparate to look gay that they will kill anything that does not shoot back...
... which would make it all the more hilarious if our alliance's pvp boys could use you as bait to catch these rats :-)

MWD == 10seconds to warp out do you see what are we discuss here?

That doesn't work when the MWD doesn't push your current speed up to 75% of your base speed in within the 10 seconds.

Edited by: Liang Nuren on 12/05/2011 18:33:08 I kinda prefer loading up on DCUs+Omnis and using T2 sentries. Two reasons - first you can scoop them when they take aggro, and second that you don't have the drone/fighter travel time. A faction smartie tends to deal with close orbiting frigs pretty well too if you are impatient about letting out the cloud of lights. :)
Also, MASS ****ING QUANTITIES OF ECM DRONES. In case you missed that ****. It's important.
Ed: ^^ This is how I do L5s ... I'm guessing they're probably harder than sanctums because of WTF Respawning Neut Towers and 3000+ DPS coming at you. -- Eve Forum ***** Extraordinaire On Twitter

i lol'd as well. and people's kb doesnt have to suck to want to add yours to it especially if they know what you're going to be fitting. if you ever get caught i doubt that mwd is going to help especially if you're being warp scrammed.

Ironically the MWD will most probably make your warpout even slower if you have to align just a bit. Plus you nerf the capacitor size of a carrier. Always a good idea.

it would be interesting to hear tears in local when my thanny got blown without lossmail (yes, i know about "selfdestruct" button)

it doesn't.... however i would not ragequit Loosing ship only means to me pause for buy and fit new one. Little holidays from grinding money. And I don't think you would too rage about losing 1 week of income?
And sometimes it even thrills me to meet neutral at the gates. I even start cry and try to survive
Anyway we came to complete offtopic. I think it is better to stop I got some info about fit. You got info "there is another rich stupid carebear with capital ship".

also target painters, more cap rechargers and sensor boosters. Also why aren't you fitting a second rep?

second rep means more cap rechargers and less other useful stuff. While usually 1 cap rep is enough for running anomalies without rush. I prefer to increase damage output instead of making even stronger tank.
Let's take a look to Rogue drone anomalies. Both patrols and small horde = many little spawns one by one. You never need more than 1 cap rep at the same time. Big Drone Horde (4 bunkers) == spawns from each attacked bunker. You can engage all bunkers and get all ships on the field or start spawns one by one. Usually you need 2 cap reps for full spawn. But if you manage spawns you don't need more than 1 cap rep again.
On the other hand 2 cap reps == full spawn, launch ogres + go afk for 10-15 minutes... nice

Aligning == 0 seconds to warp out
Since there's no problem in running anoms in a carrier, why not fit it to actually do okay if **** comes down? i.e. standard dual rep fit.

I usually run 1 cap recharger, 3 target painters and a sebo. Cap stable running the local rep. Stay aligned to a POS and dont be dumb.

Watch intel channels and always stay aligned to a POS. Don't bother switching fighters out for light drones unless all the frigs are already orbiting you, fighters+ target painters will onevolley them if they chase MWD'ing frigs. I've never lost a ratting ship while in a belt or anomaly let alone a carrier.

If you must fit an MWD to a cap ship then use a Core-X type which doesn't screw your capacitor.
Now that the onboard scanner can find sanctums in the system in 10 secs, you don't need a prober so stick a large smart bomb on for killing those frigates. You might decide not to use sentries as you should be aligned to the safe POS as soon as you land as the reds can now find you in 10 seconds too. Guess the MWD thing's not looking too hot now.
Drop some TP and add a couple of Sebos as you will drift out of targetting range when aligned. Another option is to then align to a deep safe spot if it's in the opposite direction of the safe pos and keep range on the sanctum.
If you are aligned, you are also less likely to be on the warp in spot of the anomoly and so any uncloaked reds will end up being out of range of you - do not rely on this, be aligned and ready to warp.
Finally, tengu.

Also carrier dps isn't really that hot, a carrier might last a bit longer then a rattler or nightmare against 15 bombers though.
