Wonderful EVE Players
We want to offer you game time in exchange for your old hardware.
Sound good? Then please read on in order to find out more.
Basically our stock of minimum system requirement machines at CCP has been almost depleted and because some of the min spec hardware is quite hard to obtain, we come to you in an attempt to find the more elusive items. So if you have 1 or more of the items on the list below, we can offer you free game time in exchange.
What we need:
ò CPU: Intel Pentium« or AMD @ 1,5 Ghz which supports SSE2.
ò RAM: XP (SP2) û 1 GB / Vista û 1.5 GB
ò Video: Nvidia 6000 series.
What you will get in exchange:
ò Per item we will give you a 6 month subscription.
ò CCP will also pay for the freight.
Instructions:
ò If you have any of the coveted items, please contact us before proceeding
ò To contact us, please file a petition in the ôcommunityö category with the subject ôHardware for GameTimeö
ò In the petition, tell us in which country you live along with information about the hardware you have
Our people will get back to you and give you further instructions on how to send us the items.
Why does CCP need these old relics?
In order to make sure that all the content we roll out can actually run on a PC with the minimum system requirement, we have to test rigorously first inhouse on min spec machines.

I have an old PC lying about with either an ATI X700 or X1050 if that helps. Can't remember the other specs unfortunately till I boot it up.

my wife hates the fact that i keep my old computers, but this might work out very well for me :)
edit. are you looking for a system with those specs? or just the parts?
because if you are just looking for the parts, i might never have to pay for eve again. confirmations would be nice

I hate the fact my husband keeps his old computers, it must be a man thing. Of course right now... I love him for it and am trying to figure out if they match any of these specs

I have exactly what you need, except its a Radeon X300 not a Nvidia... However there isn't anything under the community tab for a petition....
Am I missing something?

I have several computers with the following Specs:
PIV 2.8 and 3.0 CPU's
1GB DDR2 RAM
Graphic Cards vary. But none are gaming cards.
All machines have hard drives, but I can't give you the OS.
I have about 4-5 of these computers.

Hmm...I have 2 Nvidia 512mb 8800GT's I can offer up, plus four 1gb sticks of RAM (DDR2 PC2-6400). I think the RAM is what you need? What about the cards?

Do you want complete rigs, or just the parts, or either?
I have tons of parts sitting around the house, but no completed computers except what is in use.
