I use the power grid implant because i also use a paladin and you cant fit all the modules in without it (tachyons etc).
The Paladin is also the reason why i fit the tracking implant rather than the falloff, i find that the vargur has more than enough falloff as it is anyway.
I realise that the question was just referance the Vargur so yes the falloff/cap implants would be better.

The implants suggested work fine and can save hastle in later stages as you try to fit out differant and better ships. Its very unlikely a cap implant will be needed on the vargur (i fly one all the time, never needed it).
Sort your face out, its blank like your suggestions.

All true of course, however i did say that it was for the long term investment...
If your going to spend a couple of hundred isk or more on an implant then you may as well have one worthwhile, the vargur rigs come with a gun powergrid penalty which the implant may offset a bit.
A good way to check whether a cap implant is needed is to swap out a mid slot for a cap recharger and see what the differance is, i found it wasn't needed.
Since hes getting into a marauder its seemed natural that he may progress into the others and the implants would be applicable, i did and i use all the marauders except caldari.

Although i can't prove it since i'm unwilling to remove my pwr implant i honestly dont think you can even fit a navy repper without it and still be able to use tech 2 guns for the paladin. I maybe wrong, however then again i may not.
The suggestions i believe were good and to have someone who flames and hides behind an alt....... well why should we even listen to you...lol
