well, i recently moved from ammatar space to Heimatar space to mission, and do some different missions.
when i moved up, i had a very basic 0.63 standing with brutor tribe. i missioned for sometime with my corpmate doing level 4's and got my standings with brutor tribe raised up to 2.83 and the agent standing is at 2.54 when i go to bring up the agent to see what my standing is with him, it says in bold EFFECTIVE STANDING; -2.5
it also said this was my standing before we began to mission. does anyone know why it wont change?
:Social Skill levels Connections- 4 Diplomacy- 4 Social- 4 Political, Military, & HighTech conections- 4
clearly i dont have the standings to use this agent, but ive always been able to see how much farther i had to go to use them. any help with this would be great.

Edited by: Gianath on 15/05/2011 16:58:58 Are you sure your buddy is sharing the mission rewards? You should be able to check your transaction details for standings in your profile to see if you are getting any credit for missions.
Are these research agents? If so, faction is important too, and you won't get a whole lot of that from shared mission rewards.

The only way to improve your faction standings is for you to do storyline missions for that faction. Faction standings can't be shared, so you get nothing useful from your friend's storylines. Since your faction standings are below -2, you personally will have access only to Minmatar agenst of L1Q0 and below.
To improve your Minmatar faction standings, see DeMichael Crimson's Faction Standing Repair Plan.

Gallente and SoE missions will also help your minmatar standings. If you have better access to their agents, try them.
And like others said, it is only storyline missions that will change your faction standings.

Your actual standing with the agent might actually be lower than your overall Minmatar standing. Thus, it could be increasing but, until it increases above your Minmatar faction standing you still get that "higher" standing showing.
But my guess is what others have said, you need to raise your Minmatar faction standing with storyline missions of your own. ---------- The right to do something doesn't make doing it right. |

So your FACTION standings are at -2.51, so you can not receive a mission that's higher than L1 Q0 ('ish), and you're doing Corporation missions with a buddy, and sharing mission rewards / boosting your CORP standings. Which doesn't affect your FACTION standings at all.
Go look at the faction repair plan to get your FACTION standings higher. Your corp standings can be high enough to qualify for L5 missions, but with your current faction standings you're SOL regardless.
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, always possible. But since faction gains are not shared by splitting storyline missions, you're sort of wasting your time if you want to qualify for missions solo. Get your agent quality high enough so you can accept missions on your own, then fix your faction standings.

Mara, yes you got in before me.
Now for the OP:
There's 3 different standings that affect access to high level agents. Level 1 Quality 0 agents are available to everyone regardless of standings.
The 3 standings: Faction Corporation Agent
If any of these 3 standings drop to -2.00 or lower, players lose access to high level agents.
