Personally, I think CCP has just bitten off more than they can chew, and it will hurt the game in the long run.
If they could actually deliver Incarna in some functional form in the next couple of patches they'll be OK, but this will never happen. They had to struggle mightily to deliver us a single room.
Fleet meeting rooms, player owned retail and entertainment stores/bars, minigames...all times 4 for the different races? Yeah, sure. If they truly intend to push through on all that stuff they mentioned, the space part of the game will die. If they try to balance what they work on, Incarna as it's been described, will be years and years in the making. From what I've seen, CCP doesn't have the horsepower for this at all.

Who cares about terrible expansions like incarna? If Dust fails as hard as I expect it to, CCP is going to be broke in a year and Eve will be sold to EA, who will then use the servercluster for the sims 4...

Worst case scenario millions get sunk into WoD and WoD sinks into Development Hell. Worst case scenario DUST has no real-time connection, or even any connection at all apart from backstory, with the Eve universe. Everything else about DUST looks lame even compared to FPSs from two years ago.
But I just don't see Eve the game dying, even if the situations above are true. CCP can just cut their losses and get back to what they know works, which is Eve. And before you say anything about the definition of "works", Eve has been in beta for eight years and continues to gain subscribers and make money. A long history of objective failure on CCP's part has done nothing to lessen the popularity of this game. Eve will survive the death of WoD and DUST if it comes to that.

(personally I'm hoping DUST succeeds wildly though, and gets a PC port)
