lol only 100 people may show up if CCP is lucky. so many other awesome games are coming out and you can pvp lag free =). Jump gate, Rift online, Star wars old republic. Those are the few heavy hitters eve is up to just this year. It was a good 8 years eve, you just celebrated your last birthday of growth.

Jump Gates still in Developement Hell and is a Flight Sim, Rift isn't even in Space and Star Wars is a WOW Clone with voice acting.
Perhaps you should choose an MMO more your speed, we will still be here with our Spread Sheets.
You will not be missed o/

People have been predicting the death of eve for about 9 years. No other game has come out making fundamental innovations in such a manner as to displace Eve. More WoW clones wont do it either. Eve when it came out was unique and sadly with all its problems its still the best pvp MMOG out there. That is a really depressing statement. If there was a better game I would know about it because I would be playing it.
As for the next CCP player convention, I fancy it will have the theme of pillowy clouds and brightly colored animals with cheerful decorations on their chest. Eve has been siezed completely by carebears and the pvper is being pushed out.

EVE didn't stagnate last year when all the cool new games came out, it didn't the year before, or the year before. So what makes you think it'll happen this year?
Personally all the 'New' MMOs pointed out have nothing new or brilliant about them. Just shinny.

I recall how a massive new space MMO was going to strip players from EVE last year. Funny thing is, EVE grew while STO crashed and burned.

After-all STO was one of the "EvE killers", with the million subs...... when the numbers came out the had 120,000 subs that dropped to 60,000 six months later....
God knows where the numbers are for that heap of fail.

So anyone still think my prediction was off? Stuff went down hill reall quick didn't it. The rocket ship is in its final burn stage fellas I'm telling you. Next 2 expansions will kill it then she'll have 2 good years before the oxygen supply runs out and then cyber space junk.

My prediction, it will be bigger than ever. While CCP may **** up, we do love them, and continue to do so - until the time they announce they won't ever have the plans of Capital Mining Laser, at which point I will cry
But really, I do hope FanFest will be bigger than ever, I plan to make it, and I know Mintchip will too
