Gella Darru	Posted - 2011.05.17 16:15:00 - [2] Because it's much easier to sit in machs on a station next to carriers which can scoop your ship at the first sign of trouble while you insta-warp your pod, thus making you effectively invulnerable. Heretic legion does the same thing with an orca on a highsec gate; first sign of trouble they scoop the legions and the orca can jump out into highsec where no one can touch it.

Admittedly I am probably one of the biggest culprits for this, I do still enjoy actual pvp but this whole station whoring thing is perfect for when I'm working. I can work on another monitor, sit there in easy mode, pop a few noobs and make some nice and easy isk every now and then - It's perfect as it requires little attention. When I'm home / finished work generally I will either be out on a roam or looking for fights in the top belt. I also like to do it when it's late at night when you just can't bothered to move. and just FYI, a lot of bydi pilots are against the lamness of it all - until they try it ------

It's all KM whoring in the end.. either blobard style of using overwhelming numbers or Gankard style by using overwhelming force. There is very little actual "fighting**" to be had out of either group these days. The Blobbards blob and the Gankards gank, very little GF in between because far too many are scared to lose their lil internet space ships. Sit on a station or a gate with a gank gang with scouts in every system vs blobbing around with 15 times the number of the ships to be killed.. It's all the same just lazy unskilled/risk-less PVP.

This is the crux of it. One member of a gang that tried to gank me thus posted a forum whine, calling it 'a gay way to avoid fights'. His implicit definition of "fight" was dropping this gang on me. It offends peoples' sense of fairness, naturally. Dropping 20 people on someone should, in a fair world, result in that someone being DEDed, likely without any losses. The only logical conclusion one can come to is that eve is not a fair world. A novel thought.

I deffo hope ccp is going to change that mechanic so at least you have to or warp out or wait out aggro then dock up or when ejected from you ship you cant scoop it since its engaged. I was actually preferring to the Top notch pilots BYDI once had, its a shame you are pvping / if we can call it that the way you are doing atm.

I don't care if people think I fail at pvp and I don't care if I'm not awesome at the game. I don't care if people don't want to be friends in real life because I'm probably lame. I do not require any of this fantasy ego padding of being an awesome heroic pvp'er; those that care about being awesome in a game I should imagine are compensating for something out of the game? I care about people knowing that I don't care. I care about enjoying the game. ------
