We have a war declared on a corp and one of their members leaves the corp to mine during the day safely then re-joins to fight at night. I'm 95% sure this is an exploit but just need a confirmation before I report him.

Leaving and joining corps is entirely legit as long as it doesn't circumvent the limits in place (eg. roles cooldown) or the limitations put into place to ensure that CONCORD doesn't get involved in a legal conflict (eg. insta-quitting while in combat to get the opponent blown up ù restrictions were put into place to make sure this shouldn't happen, and avoiding those restrictions would be an exploit).

It's not. There is nothing to stop him leaving or rejoining a corp.
IIRC the only thing that's interdicted is "recycling" the wardec by joining an alliance and leaving it again.

What do you have to lose by petitioning it? Just say that you're not sure if it is an exploit, but to you it looks like an exploit of the system, since he constantly leaves during a war to take advantage of CONCORD protection while doing activities where he would otherwise be vulnerable and then rejoins the corp when they go on the offencive.

The fact you are whining about a miner means you are not only a griefer corp but a extremely terrible one. Any decent one would have suicide ganked him. Get over it, your tears though are quite enjoyable.

Would love to recruit his ass, he seems capeble to adapt and keep doing what he enjoys doing.
OP however... Should pick up mining himself, as he even seems to be incapeble in creative thinking
